Lola's POV
I looked at the slip of paper in my hand. The girls had already gone to sleep, so I was in the living room, reading a book, when this fell out of it. I remember this slip of paper. I read it again.
Missing person report:
Aphmau, Garroth, Zane, Katelyn, Lillian, Laurence, Kenmar, and Emmalyn
Were seen walking into the woods, Aphmau told Dante to stay and keep watch. He went into the woods five hours later and could find no trace of anyone.
They were back now, some of them. I haven't heard anything about Zane, Garroth, or Lillian. And, wasn't the man with a mask there too? Why wasn't he on this notice? I sighed. Asking myself questions isn't going to get me any answers. My eyes met my old backpack, and I picked it up and lifted the hidden compartment. I looked at the four books, that's right, there's another one now, and picked up one of them. I looked at the cover. Lola's Days in Okasis. This was my diary, those eighteen years. I set it back in and picked up another one. Kathryn's diary, I thought to myself before putting that back in. I picked up one of the two remaining, and read the cover. The private life of Hope Clarke, through toils and triumphs. My sister's diary, I couldn't read this yet. A tear slid down my cheek just thinking about her, I missed her so much. My older sister had died about 13 years ago. I sighed again and picked up the last book. This was my current diary, and I opened the book and began to write.
So, I don't want to promise anything, but the next chapter, (Chapter 50!!!) will be pretty long, so get excited! <3
