Kali's POV
I stepped out into the yard. My feet slid across the cold, wet ground. I looked at the flowers planted around our home. The flowers reminded me of my mothers garden. "Kali?" Lola approached me. "I miss it." I said, tears in my eyes. "I never imagined I would miss the castle, being stuck in my chamber and garden." I said. She led me inside to the couch before answering. "You miss being where your mother once was." "She planted that garden. She made it pretty." I tried not to let the tears fall. "It's ok to cry Kali, it's ok to cry." Lola's soothing voice reassured me. "I just miss being where she once was. It helped me feel connected to her." I sobbed.

~an hour later~
"Thank you Lola, I needed that." I said, drying my tears. "Sweetheart, I'm here for you. Do you know who told me those words once upon a time?" Lola asked me. "Who?" I asked. "Your mother. Lady Kathryn comforted me when I learned about my mom." Lola said. I smiled. "Thanks Lola. I'm going to try to get some sleep now." I walked up to my room. I lay down, and looked across the room at Meow~Chan sleeping peacefully. I remembered my past and smiled. My father never had allowed me to have any friends; and never two "sisters."

:) I love this chapter. I'm going to tie up a loose end or two before doing the huge time skip, so stay posted! <3
