Meow's POV
Cadenza was studying me now. Lola hugged me tighter, and I looked down. "How did you get anywhere? There were guards at every exit." "Not every exit." I said softly. "What do you mean?" "Vincent wasn't at his post." "Ok, so you left! Why in the world would you leave???" Cadenza asked. "Because I was an orphan. I was alone, except for my cat of corse. I didn't want to see my dad, I didn't want to believe he was gone." I answered, crying. "We found her crying by a lake. Kitten... while that's a different story for a different time. She was an orphan, and she was alone, so we took her in." Kali said. "But didn't the people here notice a new girl joined you?" Cadenza asked, confused. "We didn't always live here. They took me to their house in the woods, and we moved to Pheniox Drop about two weeks later. I was the third sister." I said. "Meow. I know your dad never explained..." Cadenza sighed. "Look, something doesn't add up here. I'm going to ask you two some questions. Please answer them truthfully, I promise I won't hurt you or your family. Meow knows that." She looked at us. I nodded. "Lola, Kali, we can trust her."
"What do you want to know?" Lola asked. "Lola, are you from Scaleswind?"
"Yes."
"And... You moved to Okasis to work for the Lord as a cook?"
Lola's face showed a look of genuine surprise. "How did you know?"
"I've... Been trying to find you as well as Meow, actually. But, we will get to that later. The only thing I don't understand is... Who are you?" Cadenza looked at Kali.
"What do you mean?"
"Kali, do you trust me?"
"I... If Meow trusts you, than I do too."
"Then tell me who you are. I know you aren't Lola's sister."
"I'm a princess."
