~time skip a hour~
Lola's POV
I was worried. What if the girls were scared? What if they didn't believe my letter? What if they said we aren't sisters? So many things run through my head. I'm sitting in the safehold tree, pretending to read a book. A piece of paper fell out. I scanned the page:
Missing person report:
Aphmau, Garroth, Zane, Katelyn, Lillian, Laurence, Kenmar, and Emmalyn
Were seen walking into the woods, Aphmau told Dante to stay and keep watch. He went into the woods five hours later and could find no trace of anyone.
I quickly put the paper back. Wow, missing people? And that page was dated thirteen years ago! I wonder if they have been found yet? I closed the book and put it back on the shelf. I decided to take a walk, and hopefully meet some new people. I wasn't a prisoner, but I was not allowed to leave the Phenix Drop settlement. I walked outside and saw a lady running after twin boys who were crawling away quite quickly. "Boys, come back right now! I'm glad Yip can have the day off, but you are hard to keep up with!" She said panting. "Um, excuse me?" I asked trying to get her attention. "Oh, hello miss! I'm sorry, my twins are hard to keep up with, especially since my oldest Yip usually watches them. I'm Donna, and what's your name?" She sounded worn out. "My name is Lola, I'm new around this town." I replied. "Oh! You must be the one my husband Logan talked about yesterday! He is our local merchant, and he said you may come sell some things too." "Yes, I hope to be able to. If you would like, I could watch the boys for you, I love children." I hoped she would be ok with that, i do love children and it would keep me occupied. "Well, I suppose that would be ok, my husband speaks very highly of you. That one is Rollo, and the other is Lello. I can't thank you enough!" With that Donna ran to the clothes line and started to hang up her laundry. I looked at the little boys, and sat down. I pulled one to my left one to my right, and I started to build a block tower. As I built they would add one, knock the tower down, and laugh. I was having fun.
So it's official! It is 13 years after Aphmau disappeared, and two years until she gets back! So, Donna only has three kids, the twins are one and Yip is fourteen. <3
