"Larkin, your mother and I need to talk to you," My father states, looking anxiously between my mother and me. My mother's eyes are quite hollowed out, her skin lacking it's normal glowing color. Her eyes look around the room nervously, succeeding at not lookingnear Gray's door. My father, although trying to maintain composure, looks rather nervous and upset as well.
"What happened to Gray?" I ask, already anxious. Awful scenarios fill my mind, piling up and growing worse as my imagination expands. "Did he get shot?"
"Kin, baby," He tries to soothe. "Gray's been missing for forty-eight hours."
