"I can't believe it!" My father exclaims. "You're all grown up now. On to sixth year!"
"Oh, Dad, stop," I giggle, blushing a little.
"I remember the day I brought you to your first day of school!" He exclaims. "You didn't want me to leave, but then I promised that we would go have lunch at the deli, and you calmed right down! And now look at you! Sitting in the car and waiting for Dear-Old-Dad to shut up so you can go and be with all of your friends."
"I'm not waiting for you to shut up," I reply, laughing lightly at his nervous state. "But I do need to go or else I'll be late!"
"Alright sweetheart," He responds, hugging me and kissing my cheek. "Have a great day at school."
"I will. I'll see you when I get home, okay? Have a good day at work." I see his smile faintly before the door shuts again and I walk up into the building.
