No one noticed, as they slept, that their bodies had become immortal. It was honestly a foolish decision, given that the ones who made it were centuries-old gods.

It was worse that no one knew they were immortal.

Clint was the only one who could actually prove he was immortal, because that man had the mind of an idiot and a life that probably should have ended when he was eight as he teetered on the edge of a balcony sill, because he had seen a butterfly.
The only was he had made it out alive was because (Y/n)— as a toddler— bit his leg and pulled him back.

He could get himself into a dangerous situation even when he just went to buy cereal, and make it back to the Tower, broken and bruised and bleeding, but the cereal box would be perfectly intact.

"(Y/n)! (Y/n), wake up!"

The sleeping woman felt the bed dip and rise multiple times.

"Ten more minutes, mom." She mumbled sleepily and cuddled into the pillow.

Something hit her back. (Y/n) flinched and sat up, turning to point her glowing palms towards ...Tony.

"Tony, what are you doing?!"

She dove back on the bed, felt someone under her wriggling, and shouted out, kicking that person.

"Stark, you said she wouldn't kick me!" The person groaned, a hand coming back and massaging his back. "Why are you still hitting me?"

(Y/n) froze momentarily and propped herself up to stare at the person.

Loki.

Her cheeks turned red, and she self-consciously pulled her shirt down. "Am I supposed to cuddle the person on my bed?"

Tony opened his mouth but one look from her made him slowly close it, and he turned away with a smile.

Loki propped himself up on one elbow, looking at(Y/n), his hair slightly ruffled. "I was thinking that we will go to the laboratories of Asgard. It's your last day and Stark wants to borrow a few things for experiment purposes."

She nodded sleepily, going back to cuddling her pillow. Except this time, Loki was her pillow. She didn't seem to know, and he didn't seem to mind, other than feeling slightly claustrophobic being held so tightly.

Tony sighed loudly. "I'll leave you guys to your business. See you for breakfast in an hour." He said and went to the door with a satisfied smile.

"Don't leave me. No, no, no, no, no." Loki pleaded softly but Tony ignored him and closed the curtains, humming softly in a way that Loki wanted to slap him, and then he left.

"Damn you, Tony." He cursed and shifted but she held him tighter.

"Damn you too, stupid mortal," Loki grunted. "You're lucky you are bearable, or you'd be out the window by now."

(Y/n)loosened her grip and soon fell asleep again, breathing softly.

He then sighed and made himself comfortable. He wasn't able to move much, but he had made the most of it.
"One of these days, I will tell you everything. And the fact that you're immortal, but I will tell you." He whispered. His lips brushed the crown of her head. He sniffed her hair, hummed, and then buried his nose there.

(Y/n) stirred. Her eyes were greeted with the sight of Loki deep asleep, breathing into her hair and his arm draped over her neck loosely.

"Why do we always end up like this?" (Y/n) asked to herself, cursing at his weight. He was nearly choking her, and all she had wanted to do was kick him to the floor.
