"Tony, I don't give a damn whether you don't like the color of the cake! It's my wedding and I want it yellow!""Did you forget that I'm the groom, Pepper?" Tony asked quietly.
Pepper's hands clenched, and she fumed at him. "Listen, mister. When I say that I want the cake to be yellow, the cake will be yellow! That's the powers of the bride!" She started walking away.
He snorted. "More like Bridezilla."
Pepper whipped around, face twisted angrily. His eyes widened.
Oh god, she heard him.
"Bridezilla?!" She growled. "You think I'm Bridezilla? I want this wedding to be absolutely perfect, and you insult me like that!?"
Luckily for Tony, (Y/n) and Agent Hill had walked in, chatting about the upcoming wedding. Maria was the Maid of Honor while (Y/n) was a bridesmaid, but she wanted her to help her plan it out.
She knew that if Natasha were to help, the wedding theme would be something related to knives, guns, and/or blood. They both paused at the sight of a cowering Tony and a furious Pepper. Maria rolled her eyes and pulled Pepper away from Tony and into another room.
(Y/n) folded her arms. "What was that all about?"
"I want the cake yellow. I want the cake yellow," Tony mocked in a version of Pepper's voice. "You tell me. That woman is so feisty and hot-tempered."
"I believe that's the reason you're marrying her."
Tony gave her a flat look. "But I didn't expect this from her. She's making me miserable, (Y/n). I love her a lot, but she wouldn't even consider my idea, or spare my feelings."
(Y/n) sent him a sympathetic look. She sat down next to him. "Well, what was your idea?"
His eyes brightened. "I was planning on making the cake an Iron Man theme. Wouldn't it be cool?"
She chuckled. "Oh, Tony. Sweet, naïve Tony. Now I get why she's pissed."
"What's wrong in that?"
"Well, a wedding is the bride's day. She calls the shots. As much as you want to help her out, you shouldn't. The only way you can, is to stay out of her way, and then say 'I Do' at the altar."
He frowned. "Can't the roses at least be red?"
"The roses are red."
"But I want them blue!"
"Tony. Just let her have it. Meanwhile, don't you have a suit-fitting with the rest of the groomsmen?" She asked.
He sighed and nodded, getting up to leave with the rest of the men.
Rhodey was his Best Man, while Bruce and Loki were his groomsmen, being the counterparts for Nat and (Y/n). They didn't want too many people standing at the altar, and the rest of them were content sitting at the front pews. After Tony left, (Y/n) went and joined Pepper and Hill, who were doing last minute arrangements. They saw her come in and smiled.
"How'd it go with Tony?" Pepper asked with a slight edge in her voice.
She let out a breathy chuckle. "The poor guy wanted blue roses."
Pepper was about to flame up again when (Y/n) gestured for her to shut up. "I told him it was yours to plan, not his."
She paused. "Was I too harsh on him?"
"He's Tony. He'll get over it." Maria said.
"Actually, you know what? I have another idea." Pepper said with a grin.
