Loki and Clint were sparring in the gym.
(Y/n) would've joined them, if she hadn't already finished her workout with Natasha. The women would always compete against each other, over who could lift the most, do pull-ups the longest, or spar better. They had to admit that Natasha would almost always win.But the men, at the moment, was entertainment to the women who were panting on the sidelines.
They were shuffling back and forth, exchanging jabs and kicks, and Clint was winning mostly because Loki wouldn't dare touch him in case he hurt him. Mortals were fragile, after all.Clint groaned. He was tired of his defense and evasive maneuvers. He pushed his sweaty hair off his eyes. "Come on, Loki! Fight me!"
"Not happening," he said, a broad grin on his face.
(Y/n) had to admit, sweating or not, Loki in his tank and shorts made her want to die right there. She let out groan. "It's not fun!"
Natasha was in agreement. It definitely was boring to see Clint kick him with no effect and Loki not even trying.
Clint kicked at him, which he blocked with his arm. He reeled back, letting out a breath. "That hurt!"
"Then hit back, Fazart!"
Clint had decided to make him. Force him. His sister was watching with absolute boredom, and he needed to make sure she still looked up to him.
Plus, Nat would never let him live it down if they found out Clint could win against a god only because the god didn't even try to fight.
Clint kept pushing Loki back with jabs and kicks. He laid a particularly hard punch on Loki's teeth, but he recovered well.
"Fight back!" (Y/n) screamed with Natasha.
"I swear, if this fight doesn't become interesting, I'm going to release the fight bots," the Russian muttered.
The fight bots were created for Thor and the Hulk. The two heroes had needed more of an indestructible competition. So Tony made those bots.
Unfortunately, like all of his experiments, it malfunctioned.
They became wild, wouldn't listen to their instructions and just do whatever they pleased to destroy anything in their path the second they were powered up.Hulk and Thor loved it. The others?
Not so much.
"Fine!" Loki yelled back. His hair that covered his face made him struggle to see.
He threw a very hard punch, and it struck Clint right in the throat.Clint remembered flying in the air, and for a split second, he truly wondered if he was reincarnated into a bird.
Life as a bird is soft, breezy, and floating as they glide with their feathery wings, and that was how he had felt, at least he thought his arms were stretched out, bracing the warm, free feeling. But then he landed on the cold, hard ground.
Pain blossomed over his neck, and his head slammed against the mat of the gym. Clint's body followed, his ribs jostling out of place for a second that it seemed like his heart had taken a run for its money and dashed out of his body.
Loki cursed, running to join a panicking (Y/n) and a slightly concerned Natasha. He slid beside her, watching as the spy checked his pulse.
"If it weren't for the fact that his eyes are open, I would've apologized." Loki said, earning a sharp glare from (Y/n), who was trying to shake her brother out of his daze.
Clint's head rolled over, eyes scrunched up in pain. He opened her mouth to respond, but only a guttural rasp was heard.
Nat frowned. "Hey, Ostrich-Brain, what's happening?"
