There are moments in life that you can never forget.
Sometimes, it's like that one embarrassing time you cracked a joke that was so lame, no one laughed and instead just stared at you with varying levels of second-hand embarrassment.
Sometimes, it's the one saddest, heartbreaking moment you realize you've lost someone special to you and you wonder: why did you leave me?
But there is this certain, rare moment that is pure gold.
And (Y/n) was staring right at it with the most glee she's felt in years. Her hot chocolate was long forgotten on the counter and instead she was holding up her camera to record this.
This, being Loki strapped with a headphone set that was blasting music so loud that she could hear it from her seat at a counter. His eyes were shut as he bopped his head to the tune, mumbling the words under his breath, looking for all the world that he's in a music video.
And if that isn't the most heartwarming thing she's seen from him, there never will be.
She could listen to his glorious singing all day long. Is this why he was referred to as having a silver tongue?
(Or maybe there was that one reason about his tongue she hadn't explored yet, but she'd file it in for a later date.)
She was biting her lip from laughing. Loki spun around and his eyes landed on her. The color drained from his face.
"(Y/n)!" He shrieked, ripping off the headphones and stuffing it in his pocket. He straightened his outfit awkwardly. "How long were you there?"
"Oh, the entire time. You looked like you were enjoying yourself, and I'm sure the others would love to see that."
Loki grimaced. "See, the thing is, you won't."
"Hold that thought. I'm just sending the video to the others."
"I said you won't!"
(Y/n) shrugged, a teasing glint in her eyes. "What are you going to do about it?"
He made a grab but she slipped away and ran to the lounge. She was tripping, trying to send the video while escaping his attempts at swiping at her.
"Thou shall never catch me!" She declared, hopping over the table.
Just as she was about to jump over the large beige couch, fingers wrapped around her ankle and yanked her onto the cushions. She wheezed when Loki pounced on her.
She hid the phone behind her back to trap it between her body and the couch. When she looked up, Loki's furious, desperate expression slammed into her full force.
"Hand it over," he growled, fingers digging around her. She wiggled, laughing. "I'm not joking, I'll make you regret it."
"Oo, I'm shaking in my boots."
The next time his fingers dipped down, his face was unnervingly close to hers, and (Y/n) could admire the murderous glint in his pretty emerald eyes. His thighs were pressed down on her hips heavily and her heart skipped a beat.
She squirmed, but he only pressed tighter, a frustrated sound escaping him as he unsuccessfully tried to snatch the phone away.
"It's about damn time, guys!"
They flinched and horror like no other washed over them at the sight of a smug Tony. The phone in his hand was faced at them. "But I really like that couch, so get a room?"
With strangely incredible force, (Y/n) shoved Loki off and jumped off the couch. He landed on the floor.
"Tony, Tony, I swear, nothing happened."
