Chapter 5- Follow my rules
Like, the heck? Ano tingin niya sa akin? Libre? Of course not! Gabing-gabi na, kung saan-saan pa siya nag-aaya?
"What do you want, Luxien?" he asked as he looked directly at the menu book.
I checked the menu book before I told him what I wanted to eat. "Spicy Pork Posole." tipid kong sabi.
"Make it two, and two iced teas." aniya, tapos binalik na niya ang menu book sa waiter.
"So, how are we going to start the business talk that you've been waiting for?" tanong niya at sumandal sa kaniyang upuan.
"We can ask some basic informations about us. Simple questions first, please." I said then sat properly.
"Okay," kibit-balikat niya. "Favorite color?" tanong niya.
Napa-irap ako. This man is unbelievable.
"Blue-green and Black." I said, like it was the most ridiculous answer I've ever said. "Ikaw?" I asked.
"Emerald and Black." sagot nito. "Foods."
I shrugged my shoulders. "Pizza, Ice cream, especially spicy foods."
Tumango lamang siya. He looked away. It was like, he's deciding to ask me a question or not. A dangerous question.
I raised a brown and crossed my arms. "You can ask questions. You know..."
"Do you have a sibling?" he coldly asked. Which made me swallow the lump inside my throat. How pathetic. That's the same question I've been asking to myself from the past years.
"Yeah." I said in a cold tone of voice. Showing him, that I don't want this conversation that we're having.
"What..." he cleared his throat. "What is the name of your sibling?" aniya.
Bigla akong nanginig. His questions are too hard for me to answer. I couldn't believe it. Am I thinking twice on saying her name?
"E-Elizabella Grey." aniko na ikina-nigas niya.
Lumipas ang ilang minuto na hindi kami nag-uusap. So I cleared my throat and started opening-up a new topic.
"May girlfriend ka?"
Napa-tingin siya sa akin. "Ex."
I zipped my mouth immediately. This dinner is awkward. This conversation that we're having is awkward. Awkward, indeed.
"May boyfriend ka?" tanong niya, na siyang ikina-gulat ko.
"Ex." tipid kong sagot.
Awkwardness filled our table. I almost thank the waiter, for serving us immediately. We ate, but we didn't talk much. Tanging tawanan lamang ng ibang customers at tunog ng condiments and aking naririnig. I never though our Business Talk would be so, awkward.
But I refused. I never go to a bar with some random stranger. Usually, with Tyrese, and---never mind.
"Anong drinks sa'yo?" I asked him once we got inside of the convenient store.
Bumaling siya sa akin. "I'm fine with Canada Dry."
