Katherine woke up to find herself alone. She checked the time and discovered she was a sleep for twenty minutes. She looked around the room just to be sure before stretching. At this time, Chris would be telling her that's he's going out for personal business.

Speaking of, the door opened and shut quickly. Katherine looked up and saw Chris rummaging through a drawer. "Aren't you going out?" She asked and sat up. "Soon." He said and slammed the drawer shut. "What are you looking for?" She asked curiously. He opened up another drawer and looked through that one before closing it.

"Something but I can't tell you." Chris stood at the edge of the bed before leaning over to kiss her. She wrapped her arms around his neck lovingly and pulled him closer. "Please tell me?" She begged. "It's a surprise and that's all I'm going to tell you." He whispered before kissing her again. She didn't let him go as he tried to stand back up. Chris looked at her waiting for her to say something.

"Can I have a hint?" She said with hope in her eyes. Chris hummed in thought. "You'll find out in a three days." He finally said. "That's not really a good hint." She said pretending to look disappointed. Really, she couldn't contain her excitement. In three days was their anniversary and Chris always had something special planned. "Yes it is. I told you when you'll find out."

Katherine sighed dramatically. "Then I can't wait." She stood up from the bed. Chris wrapped his arms tightly around her. After a minute of silence, he pulled away. "I should get to my personal work." Katherine kissed him this time. "Just be careful and I love you." Chris smiled. "I love you too. I just hope I can catch that bastard tonight."

She chuckled as his choice of words. He left leaving her alone again. Katherine walked out a few seconds later, not surprised that Chris was already gone. She made her way up to the third floor into his study to take some of the record business to occupy her time. The second she sat down at the desk, the phone rang. Katherine answered right away. "Hello, Chris Motionless's assistant speaking. What can I do for you?"

There was a sound of static which was weird. "Hello?" She asked again waiting for a response. "I need to speak with Motionless." A strange voice said. It didn't sound human and was barely intelligible. Katherine gulped nervously thinking that she was actually talking to another demon. "Mr. Motionless is out for personal business. Can I give a message?" Katherine asked politely. There was silence of the end before the sound of static and the voice replied, "Tell him to send a letter when he can."

Katherine grabbed a pen and notepad and wrote it down. "I'll certainly tell him. Can I ask who wants to speak to Mr. Motionless in case he asks?" Katherine waited with the pen ready. Again, she had to wait for the static and the voice seemed to chuckle as if amused. "He chose a good assistant. Very well, I'm speaking on behalf of the ruler of the underworld."

Katherine wrote that down and was surprised to hear the noise again. "I have no name but everyone who's been dead long enough knows me." Katherine wrote it down anyway. She set the pen down and leaned back into the chair. "I'll be sure he gets the message when he gets home tonight." There was a busy tone and she hung up the phone. She let out a nervous shaky breath. She had never spoken to another demon and she was glad she handled it well.
