After the bride and groom did their first dance, everyone else joined in. Katherine didn't want to but Chris effortlessly pulled her off her seat and dragged her to the dance floor. She cursed his supernatural strength which just made him laugh. He stopped outside the crowd dancing.
"I'm not much of a dancer." Katherine laughed sheepishly. "Neither am I." Chris took her one hand and placed his free hand on her hip. They spun, twirled, and swayed while not taking their eyes off each other. After an hour, Katherine was feeling tired so they slowed their dancing to a waltz. She definitely enjoyed having his arms around her and resting her head against his chest. Katherine would have to tell him that the two should do this more often.
After a few dances, the bride and groom cut the cake and soon almost everyone was taking a piece. Katherine wasn't hungry so she politely declined and the two went back to dancing a little longer. It was a lot more fun than they thought. They danced until her feet began hurting.
After a while longer, they both sat down and her mother joined them. "Think this is how you two are going to have your wedding?" Her mother smiled happily. "You did all the planning already so looks like we are." Chris said. Katherine laughed at his response. Her mother smiled wider. "I can't wait!" She said before before a friend of hers called her back.
The two sat in silence for a minute. "What are you thinking about?" Chris asked curiously while twirling a strand of her hair between his fingers. "About ours." Katherine smiled before looking at him. "What are you thinking about?" She asked the same way. Chris was quiet for a while deeply thinking.
"The life we're going to have after." He stopped playing with her hair. Katherine's heart nearly skipped a beat. She still wanted to ask one question but decided to wait just a little longer. "I can't wait." She said happily. Chris looked at her with the biggest smile on his face. "I have a crazy idea." He finally found the moment. Katherine looked at him with interest.
