Chris parked the car and turned the engine off. Katherine looked at him somewhat nervous. He didn't seem on edge. "Relax. Everything will be fine." He winked his brown eyes before getting out. Katherine barely touched the door handle when he opened it. Chris held out his bare hand for her. She was already missing his colorful tattoos.

She got out and took his hand anyway. He closed the door and locked it. "Ready?" She asked. "Ready as I'll ever be." Chris said sounding slightly nervous for once. They made their way up to the church. Katherine could tell by the look on his face that something was amusing Chris. "What are you thinking?" She asked. Chris chuckled he looked at her with glowing red eyes.

"This is the same church that fucker stayed at. I'm just thinking how hilarious it was watching him rushing out in a priest's robe." He darkly laughed. "I bet you can't wait to finish that deal." Katherine whispered. "Hell yes." He said and his eyes returned to their brown color. Katherine had to laugh at his response.

Gina's father, who was also the priest, stood next to the tall elaborately designed doors to greet everyone. He looked around to be in his mid fifties and had a very stern expression. Katherine tightened her grip around his hand as they got closer. Chris just cleared his throat and whispered for her to relax.

His expression turned sour when he saw the two of them. It made Katherine uneasy but Chris was more than use to it. "Katherine. How nice to see you again." He spoke deeply. "Nice to see you to. I can't believe my friend is finally getting married." She forced a smile. Chris seemed to have taken a step in front of her and blocked her.

He hummed and stared up at Chris. "I sense evil in you." He said lowly growling. "I can assure you that I'm not." Chris replied calmly. The priest looked disgusted. "Lies." The priest hissed quietly. Chris just stared at him expressionless. "You're not welcome here." The priest stood up straighter attempting to look taller but Chris still towered over him. More than likely, he would be the tallest one in the building.

"That wouldn't be a smart move. Think of what everyone will say after you tried turning someone away especially on your daughter's wedding day." Chris pulled his fiancé closer to himself. Gina's father huffed. "There's something not right about you." He grumbled before turning to someone else to greet them. The two quickly rushed in and say down at one of the pews.

Katherine let out a deep sigh. "I take it nothing hasn't changed." She whispered. "Nope, but Gina isn't like her father." Chris tossed his head back dramatically. "Thank god for that." Katherine had to cover her mouth from laughing. He realized the unintended joke and had to press his lips together to stop himself from laughing. "I love you. I can't wait for us to be married." She whispers as she hugged his arm.

He went to look at her to say something but his attention immediately went to someone behind her. Chris's eyes turned a dark shade of red and Katherine turned to look to see what he was looking at. A familiar face made their way behind the doors on the side of the alter. "Oh no." She whispered. "I'm afraid so." Chris's voice sounded distorted. Katherine had to slightly shove him. He deeply inhaled and his eyes returned to normal and he sounded himself again when he thanked her.

"You don't think he's going to try something, right?" Katherine quietly spoke. Chris crossed his arms and lowly growled. "He is. Why else would he be here?" Chris muttered. Katherine took a deep inhale to calm herself. "He thinks you can't be in a church." Katherine answered. Chris nodded because a few people had sat down next to them. He didn't take his eyes off the door and she didn't blame him. Katherine watched as the entire room filled with people of all ages.

So many were there and it scared her that man was going to commit a crime. Chris held her hand gently which slightly relaxed her. If anything happened, at least there was a demon who would do something. He muttered in a language that she didn't understand. Chris leaned to whisper in her ear. "Let's hope he doesn't do anything stupid."
