"Are you sure he's home?" Gina asked as Katherine threw her purse into the backseat. Katherine didn't have a choice but to truthfully explain. She confessed that Chris had been secretly living with them the whole time. "Yeah, he's in his study." Katherine quickly got out before her friend could speak. She stomped inside and went up to the third floor.

After five years, she didn't bother knocking this time. Katherine barged in and Chris didn't even flinch. He was reading something from a book in the language she didn't understand. Chris closed and set the book down. "That's unusual for you. Are you feeling ok?" He asked unaware.

"You lied to me." Katherine said through gritted teeth. He rested his elbows on the desk and then his chin on his intertwined hands. "You know I can't." He said not taking his glowing red eyes off her.

Katherine felt an unexpected rage. "Maybe you have been and I'm just so stupid to stop and think about it." Chris looked at her confused. "I really have no idea what you talking about." He stood up and then walked until he was in front of her.

She scoffed. "Really? No idea?" Chris raised his drawn on eyebrow. "Enlighten me." He said seriously. Katherine stared at him. He looked unemotionally back. "Who's Abigail Rose?" She asked and clenched her fists. His eyes widened with surprise.

"How the fuck did y-" Chris couldn't finish his sentence. Katherine punched him in the jawline. She didn't care if the impact hurt her more than it did him. "I was right! You lied! Why didn't you tell me you were married?" She screamed at him. Chris cracked his jaw. "I'm not to her. Just only you." He said sounding honest.

"I saw an article and saw the certificate!" She yelled. Chris crossed his arms and sighed. "It's a long and complicated story." Katherine turned around and began walking towards the door. "Then don't even bother telling me. I won't believe you."

Chris followed her. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked grabbing her arm. She tried to snatch her arm away. "Anywhere but near you." Chris slammed her back against the wall and pinned her down which scared her. He'd never done something like this to her. "Let me explain, please!" He begged.

She shook her head no. Katherine managed to break free and made a run toward the staircase. He called her name. "Leave me alone!" She began crying running faster. "Katherine?" Her friend called down in the foyer. "Let's get out of here." Katherine said when she saw Gina.

They both turned around to leave. Gina gave a startled yelp. Chris was standing in the doorway. His eyes was glowing bright red. "You're not fucking leaving this house until I've explained myself." His voice sounded distorted. "Go to hell." Gina yelled bravely. The way he looked at her made her wish she'd kept her mouth shut.

He gave a twisted smile. "I've been there many times." Gina hid behind Katherine. "Then go back! I bet your demon wife is waiting for you." Katherine pushed him out of the way. He was about to grab her when Katherine screamed "I hate you!" Chris let go feeling appalled at her words.

"You don't mean it." Chris said sounding hurt. "I do. I'm going to figure out a way to divorce you and then I'm never coming back here!" Katherine walked angrily to the car and slammed the door. Gina's jaw dropped but she didn't say anything further. She quickly got into the drivers seat and drove off. Chris sat down on the steps and buried his face in the palm of his hands. She finally found out part of his secret he kept hidden for so long.

Sorry I didn't update yesterday. I was busy with yard work and then decided to go to a haunted house before October is over.
