"Can you please explain everything to me?" Gina said as she watched Katherine chug down half a bottle of beer. "I told you that I don't want to talk about it." She tossed her head back and downed the rest. The bartender handed her another. She shoved her finished drink to the side.
Her friend sighed loudly. "Drowning your problems in alcohol won't help." Katherine took a few gulps of the next drink. "I know but tonight, I just don't want to think about him." Katherine drank a couple more bottles. Gina just sat there in defeat and watched her friend getting more wasted by the bottle.
After a while, a man walked up to them and set his drink down on the table. "Lady, I suggest you slow down." Katherine glared at him. She recognized him even in her near drunken state. "Go away. Don't you have a deal to finish?" The man looked at her shocked. She chugged the rest of another bottle before finally feeling sick.
Gina had no idea what she meant. "I'm sorry. My friend's having a rough night. I thinks she's had enough to drink." The man pretended to nod sympathetically. Katherine shoved the bottle away. It was starting to make her feel extremely nauseous as the bartender placed another drink in front of her. "Let's get you home. You're staying with me." Gina said helping her drunken friend off the stool.
"Let me help you." The man offered. Gina didn't object because she was having a hard time keeping her friend standing up. He wrapped Katherine's arm across the back of his neck and Gina did the same thing. The three walked to Gina's car and helped Katherine lay down in the back seat.
Katherine couldn't move an inch. Her head was spinning and she groaned. "Thank you. I couldn't have done that without you." Gina said smiling friendly. "No, thank you." The man said before he stabbed a syringe into her neck and plunged a sedative into her body. Gina was out like a light. He threw her into the backseat before getting into the driver's and speeding off.
