Chapter 9 - Don't run off with that flamehead

"I see you're thinking about it." She mumbled. I nod slightly. She looks at me and smiles.
"Well considering were outside my apartment, we should go inside and talk." She said. I nodded slightly.

We went inside her apartment and sat down.
"Do you want a drink or anything?" She asks. I shake my head then she smiles softly. "So let's talk, why are you thinking of going with those creepy guys?" She asks.

I look away. I don't want to tell her, but maybe she'd understand. Just maybe.

"Then they won't hurt everyone and it will cause people less trouble, I don't want anyone getting hurt. I caused them to come here, my existence of being at Fairy Tail caused them to hurt Juvia, I mean sure I never really liked her but she fought for me. And I hate that. I hate the thought of others getting hurt by them. They went easy on Juvia, that's the real truth. They could have killed her instantly." I look away. "And I don't want them hurting you guys, you've all been so nice to me, and I can't thank fairy tail enough for all the hope you've given me, but I guess in reality that hope has to die away someday." I mutter.
"That's stupid." Lucy said angrily. I look at her. "Hope doesn't die (Y/N), the only way it dies down is if you let it die! Believe it or not I know exactly what you're going through, and that's why I am trying to help you, do you really think the rest of fairy tail will be happy without you? Do you think we'd really be great full for you disappearing? Do you think we are just going to let you go without a fight? You're (Y/N), Celestial Dragon Slayer of Fairy Tail. Or have you forgotten?" She asks. I clench my fists.
"Of course I haven't! Bu-"
"But nothing! If you go and get married to this lunatic what the hell do you think will happen to Gray?" She asks.

Again I look away. Gray. He's been the one that's helped me the most.
"(Y/N), he loves you. I can see that clearly on his face evertime he looks at you and if anyone dares to mention anything about you he glares at them so much that you'd expect him to use some sort of magic that kills people when he glares," She giggled slightly. I smiled. That does sound like Gray. "(Y/N), if you marry this guy, Gray will be heartbroken, sure he's had flings in the past, but, I don't think you're one of them." She said.

There was a moment of silence when someone barged into Lucy 's apartment.
"Lucy! Lucy! Have you seen (Y/ -" Natsu paused and looked at me and hugged me tightly. "I'm so glad you're here. I was terrified you went with those creeps." He said. I looked at him a little shock. "(Y/N), you're a fellow dragon slayer like me. And I can see why you ran away from home and why we had to fight, and I don't care what you say because I am not letting you go with those guy's. You're like a sister to me, and there is no way I'm loosing my little sis. " he smiled. I looked at him with tears in my eyes.
"Th-thank you. To the both of you, you guys have honestly helped me, and I really appreciate it." I then smile.
"Anything for my little sister."Natsu said.
"And anything for a fellow member of fairy tail." Lucy said.
"I'm sorry to have caused you worry, I will go back to the guild hall and tell everyone that I'm staying... but do you know where I can find Gray?"

Gray POV

I was sat alone on my bed in my apartment. I was worried sick about (Y/N). She just kind of disappeared.

I hope she's not gone with those weirdos. They've hurt her, and I see it everytime she talks about them. And they'll do it over and over again. That's the truth.

But everytime she gets hurt I get hurt. It's like some weird connection we have almost like a spell that causes us to feel the same way.

That's how I know she's hurting now. And that's what I don't want. I care about her too much.

Sure I care about everyone in fairy tail or everyone getting mistreated but that day I met (Y/N), it was weird, I instantly knew I had to protect her, although I wouldn't say that out loud because I may look a bit weird.

The doors of my apartment open and I hear footsteps.
"Thank you for your help Natsu." A familiar voice said.
"Anytime." Natsu ' s voice said. The door closed again and I walked to the door to see (Y/N) standing there tears in her eyes.
"(Y/N)?" I ask.
"S-sorry if I worried you G-Gray." She said those tears pouring down her face now "I-I didn't know what to do, I didn't know weather to stay or go and I didn't want to-"
"(Y/N)?" I ask. She looks up at me.
"Y-Yes?" She asks.

I wipe her tears away and smile.
"Shut up already, you're wasting you're breath. I'm just glad you're here." I smile.

She looks at me and smiles slightly.

I hug her tightly and grin. "Promise me, you won't run off again, especially not with that flame head." I said. She giggles slightly.
"Gray, I didn't run off with him." She says softly. I smile playfully.
"I don't care, you're my girlfriend." She grins grin as I say this "And I'm not sharing you with anyone."
"Hmm, so what would you say if I told you I'd kissed Natsu?" She ask.
"You... did... what...?" I felt anger boil up inside of me. That stupid pyro idiot, he's gonna die!" She laughed at my reaction.
"Don't worry, I didn't do anything." She smiles "I just wanted to see your reaction." I smiled and placed a finger on her beautuful lips
"(Y/N), those lips are for only me to kiss." I say. I then looks into her eyes and sigh "That's why I'm not letting you go off with those creeps." I say seriously after a pause. "(Y/N), I love you more then you can ever know, when I look at you, it brightens my whole day up, and seeing your smile, that makes me the happiest guy in the world."
"Gra-"
"I'm not finished (Y/N). If you go with those creeps, you'll get married to one of them... I wouldn't be able to take that Geez, I managed to grin and bear and hide the fact that I liked you since we met, but it's just so difficult. And I am not going to let you run off with him and him treat you like dirt and get away with it. That isn't a marriage, you do know that right?" I said "One day we're going to get married so-" I stopped and blushed bright red as I realised what he was saying "so...um... did you hear the phone? I just heard the phone."I said and was about to walk away when I felt a tug on my risk stopping me dom leaving. I turn around to see (Y/N) there blushing a deep red. She looks down at her feet and then back up at me.
"Gray..." she says.
(Y/N)...? What's wrong?" She looked away again.
"You're going to have to stick by my side for a very long time." She says quietly.
"Well I was going to anyway... but why?" I ask.
"I think you're my mate... so um... basically your stuck with my for the rest of your life... I mean you may not be my mate, but it's just you're kind of the only guy I can think of and you seem to have gotten protective over me...and I don't know it's like I can feel your emotions at times... I mean if you don't want to be my mate you can always rejec-"
"(Y/N)?" I ask.
"Y-Yes?"
"Come here." I say

She looks at me and walks over to me unsure.
"Never ever, am I going reject you." I say. I smile slightly and kiss her lips. She looked at me and then smiled.

As soon as she smiled she groaned in agony.
"(Y/N), what's wrong?" I asked worriedly.
"I am n-not f-feeling the bes-" Before she could finish she collapsed a pink dust surrounding her.
