Chapter 25: Far from an idiot

Your POV

I hate to admit it but Gray's right. No matter how much I hate him I'm putting all my celestial spirits in danger by marrying Bryan.

"Don't think this means I forgive you or anything." I say wiping the tears out of my eyes, I look over to Aquila and smile. "Looks like we're going back to plan 1 and not going through with the wedding."I say. He sighs in relief and smiles then transforms into his celestial spirit form getting golden eagle wings by his side knocking a couple of Darknight guild members off of their seats.
"Finally. Geez. Do you know how uncomfortable it is to be stuck in human form. I haven't been in my original form since last week." He chuckles
"Venture?" Vision and Volume say confused
"Sorry. That's not my name. It's Aquila the Carrying Eagle." He chuckled.

Aquila looked at me and smiled.
"So we have two ways of doing this Princess, we have a battle and beat these low - lives up. Or we simply let them be." He says.
"Anyone who messes with (Y/N) messes with the whole of fairy tail!" Natsu says
"And when that happens." Cana says.
"Fairy tail fight back!" Mirajane says.

I smile slightly at their enthusiasm and laugh. But before anything could happen the whole room went black.
"I'm afraid not." A booming voice says. It was Destruction, and he was in his "dark" mode. "Now you little fairy flies listen closely. You're going to return to your puny guild and we're going to forget this wedding happened-"

He suddenly stopped and the whole of our guild looked at each other confused.
"We have exactly two hours before the Darknight Guild Time Unfreezes." Aquila says with a small smile but weakly. "It's taking a lot of my power to keep the guild master frozen in time so I can't guarantee it for sure. But please, we must all get away now." He says. The guild look at each other and then nod.

Everyone leaves the guild hall and we start running as far away from them as possible. We take a different route towards the fairy tail guild incase they try to follow us.

"Hey Aquila!" I say happily.
"Yes princess?" He asks.
"Thank you very much for your help! It means a lot!" I say happily.
"Why you're welcome princess. At any point if you need me know that I'm here. I always keep an eye on you as that's my job!" He says. I nod slightly and kiss him on the cheek and smile.
"Thank you!" I say happily and skip off towards Cana and Mira.

I don't see anything in Aquila. He's my friend nothing more. And that kiss was merely a thank you.

Although, I don't think Gray saw it that way. I felt his glare burning through the back of my head.

You idiot. Don't look at me like that! You're the one who cheated!

Geez. I'm so annoyed at him.
"Hey, (Y/N)?" Mira says.
"Mhmm?" I ask.
"Don't be too hard on Gray." She says.
"Yeah, to be fair he didn't know what he was doing. He thought you'd left him." Cana says.
"Yeah well he should have known better." I mutter.
"Don't be so stubborn," Mira laughs "He made a mistake." Cana says trying to defend him.
"Yeah three. He cheated on me twice and said he didn't care. I've gave him enough chances, if I give him another one then I'm an idiot." I mutter.

"You're far from an idiot." A voice behind us said. I turn around to see Guildarts and Gajeel behind us.
"Yeah, I agree with Guildarts." Gajeel
"If I'm not an idiot, then what am I?" I ask with a sigh.
"I don't know, in love maybe?" Gajeel says. He sighs "look I'm not the one to go all lovey dovey, but it's obvious the punk likes you, and it's obvious you like him. The truth is you can't stop loving a person. It doesn't work like that."
"Yeah. Gajeel ' s right."Guildarts says "Gray's been through a lot over his lifetime, maybe he wanted to erase you out of his memories." He says.
"But who the hell does that?!" I yell angrily and upset.
"Someone who's in pain." Cana mutters. "Before Guildarts new he was my father he would go away on Jobs, jobs that would take months on end. I use to hate it. Every day I would go home and cry, until slowly I taught myself to forget. If there was no Guildarts then there would be no job, and if Guildarts wasn't around on the job that meant he wasn't around. Makes sense?" She asks.
"Not really." I say in a confused state of mind trying to work out her point.
"I think what Cana is trying to say is that it hurt to remeber you, so he tried to forget."She says.

I stay silent. There's nothing to say to that in all honesty. But I wish there was. I wanted to say so many things. I wanted to punch him in the face, I wanted to cry, I wanted to hug him, I wanted to say sorry, I wanted to scream at him for being an idiot.

But I didn't. Instead I kept on walking until we where at Fairy tail.
"Well."Master says "It's late! That nine hour walk has my feet killing me."He chuckled "either way, the guild hall going to be closed for tonight, if the Darknight guild where to come and look for us this would be the first place." He says. He looks over at Gray. "Gray will keep watch over (Y/N) so please, no one worry." He says.

Gray looks over at me and I give him a glare, he looks away looking slightly annoyed too. We wait until everyone has left and then we start walking back to the apartment in silence. Willow, Happy, Lily and Carla all went to have an exceed sleepover of some sorts at Natsu ' s place so it was just Gray and I.
"Y'know I did miss you." He says quietly.
"I bet." I scoffed.

He was walking behind me and he sighs.
"I did love you, I mean God, I still do." He muttered "and I think I always will."

I turn around and kiss his cheek to stop his blubbering and blabbering .
"Before you start I don't like you! I just wanted to shut you up!" I say.

He smirks and walks up to me until he towers over me. He pulls a single strand of hair out of my face and behind my ears.

"So is this an excuse to shut you up?" He asks with a smirk and then kissed me. At first a blush slightly. This isn't my first kiss from Gray, but somehow this felt different. I soon eventually melt into the kiss and we both pull away.
"So?" He asks.
"Hmph! That was okay I guess. Could've been better." I say.

Within two seconds of me saying this I've burster out laughing. He chuckles slightly and shakes his head.

I haven't forgive him. But I have to move on...

Don't worry, I know the ending my seem quite boring but tomorrow I'll try to make it a bit more intresting! ^^
