Chapter 15: Burn him to a crisp.

Your POV

I stare at him blankly.
"She... did... what?" I mutter. I didn't have any power to argue, but even so I know this would cause an argument.
"(Y/N)! I swear it was nothing more!" He says.
"Well duh, she was behind a cell!" I say.
"Why are you angry with me?!" He says.

I completely ignore his question and look at him straight in the eyes.
"Did you enjoy it?" I ask seriously.
"Enjoy what?" He says. I carry on staring at him.
"The kiss. Did you enjoy it?" I ask.

He opened his mouth to say something but his cheeks went a darker colour.
"I see." I mutter and turn away.

He grabs hold of my hand.
"(Y/N)! I love you! I don't want to be with Erza I want to be with you!" He says.
"Yeah, so did Brian once." I mutter trying to avoid letting him hear the cracks in my voice.
"(Y/N)! It's not like that I swear!" He says desperately.

I smile sadly and shake my head, and even though he can't see my smile, I think he knows I am.
"It's fine Gray. You can go with Erza. It's fine. I promise. She's prettier then me, stronger then me and funnier then me. Go ahead. " I say.
"(Y/N)! would you listen to me for God sake!" He yells. With that he spins me around and kisses my lips even though they are wet from the salty tears that are spilling.

As soon as he kisses me I flinch. He's just kissed Erza. I can't kiss him. I pull back.
"I'll come get my stuff later. For now I'm going to live on the girls apartments at Fairy Hills." I say.
"(Y/N), what more can I do?"

Yet again I shake my head and ignore his question.
"Tell Erza it's over, I'll leave you two alone if she leaves me alone." There's a cracking in my voice as I say the next bit "I wish you two a very happy life." I say and walk out the door. Willow follows behind me and I feel her black eyes staring at me.

"Hey. . . (Y/N). . .?" Willow asks. I wipe my tears and fake a smile for my little best buddy.
"Don't worry, I'm fine." I say and grab hold of her and squeeze her.
"Can't breathe." She says when I hug her too tight.
"Sorry." I laugh slightly.

I walk to the guild hall and go to Mirajane she looked at me and she instantly knew I was crying.
"(Y/N)? What's wrong?" She asks.
"Hey Mira, nothing I'm fine." I smile "Can I get an apartment for fairy hills? I can get the money for you on Monday." I say.
"Aren't you living with Gray?" She asks.
"Nope, not anymore." I say. "Thanks Mira." I say.

I walk over to the request board and immidiatley Natsu pulls me into a hug.
"N-Natsu?" I asked.
"Whatever he's done to you I'll make him pay." He says quietly so only I can hear "nobody hurts my little sis and gets away with it."

That's when I burst into quiet tears. Only Natsu and Lucy see so they take me outside with Willow.
"(Y/N)...?" Lucy asks softly "What's wrong?" She mutters.
"I-I'm fine. " I mutter.
"No you're not! I swear whatever he's done to you, he will pay for it. I will burn him to a crisp if I have to."
"Natsu, calm down." Lucy says "What has caused you to move out of Gray's?" She asks.
"When he... when he went to talk to Erza, Erza kissed him. But I'm not mad or upset about that... well I am but not as much as I am about the fact that he totally enjoyed the kiss." I say tears pouing out of my eyes.
"He told you that?!" Natsu yells. I nodded slightly.
"I made him." I mutter.

"Let's go on a job together, you, me, Happy, Willow and Lucy." He says.
"Yeah, that will get your mind of things." Lucy smiles.
"Yes!"Willow says.

I look at both Natsu and Lucy and Willow. I squeeze the three of them into a hug and smile.
"Thank you." I say.
"No problem." Natsu says. He then pauses. "but you're gonna need some clothes so I'll go get it for you bye!" Natsu says running off.
"Hey! Get back here!" I yell to Natsu.

Lucy sighs.
"There's no use, honestly. Just beat him up when he gets back. That normally does the trick."She laughs. I smile slightly.
"You and Natsu are so cute. " I say. She blushes slightly.
"Aw. Thank you." She says "in all honesty I was surprised we where mates. I mean Natsu was my best friend... and he'd always protect me but we never had anything romantic together." She smiles. I nod slightly.
"Who do you think is your mate?" She asks. I look away.
"Gray." I mutter truthfully. Her eyes widen
"Really? I'm so sorry." She says quietly "Why do you think that?" She asks.
"He can read my mind, he's protective over me, he can feel my pain and likewise I can feel his." I mutter.
"Yeah... Gray - kun and (Y/N) sound like mates." Willow muttered.
"I'm so sorry." Lucy mutters. I shake my head and smile.
"No! Don't be silly, it's not your fault that the odds aren't ever in my favour, it just means I'm gonna have to find a way to make it work, or reject him." I say quietly.

Natsu POV

I'M GONNA KILL THAT STRIPPER! The hell does he think he's playing at? Messing with (Y/N)'s feelings?! Who in the world does that?!

I kick down the door to his stupid apartment and see him there with his coat in looking like he was just about to leave.

"Geez. Learn to knock would ya?!" He yells. I pick him up by his collar and pin him to the wall.
"What the hell do you think you're playing at?" I yell.
"What?!" Gray says.
"You've made (Y/N) cry! Idiot!" I yell.
"Where the hell is she?!" He yells.
"Like I'd tell you." I says.
"Look Natsu, I need to know, you moron!" He mutters.
"Ha! Do you now?" I ask sarcastically.
"She's my freaking mate! Of course I need to see her! I need to talk things out!" He yells.

With that his eyes flash a yellow colour and they turn into eyes like a reptile. He really isn't lying.

I thought mating season was in another week or two.

I let go of him and he stares at me.
"Thank you." He says. He starts to walk off I grab his arm stopping him.
"I swear if you hurt her again I will clobber you." I say seriously.
"You won't need to." He says.

Your POV

"(Y/N) ...?" Lucy says.
"Yes?" I ask.
"Your eyes. They just flashed a yellow colour... is everything okay?" She asks.
"They what?! Oh no! Not now! I thought I still had a couple of weeks. Any time but now!" I mutter
"It's mating season. " Willow explained for me.

"(Y/N)!" I heard a voice call. I knew then instantly who it was and I didn't need to turn around.

I felt tears in my eyes. It was obvious now he was my mate. I could feel his presence right behind me. He hugged me and whispered in my ear.
"You where right. You're my mate."

Gray Fullbuster is my mate.

Hey Guys! I hope you're all okay XD , I'm updating a lot quicker but I doubt I can update until the weekend now because I have exams DX

I have a feeling you guys knew that Gray was gonna be (Y/N)'s mate anyway, but hey! This is a Gray x Reader. I mean I'm not just gonna make you spend the rest of your life with Ichiya. .. *shudders* no I swear I'm not that mean! XD
