Chapter 12: Wimp

Your POV

I was sat next to Gray on the sofa watching TV. He had put on some horror movie, and because I'm a wimp, and terrified of horror movies,  I was sat here cowering next to him.

He could have made it scarier I mean, it's midday so it's, well middle of the day, not middle of the night. But he just had to go and choose a horror film that was based on a true story, didn't he?

So once this film is finished I'm going to be paranoid that some ghost is gonna follow me around trying try to kill me.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you." Gray says as if reading my mind. I just stared at him. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"Did you just- did you just read my mind?" I ask
"No, you said it out loud didn't you?" He asks confused. I shook my head and he grinned. "It's official the ghosts are trying to kill us by joining our thoughts together and then they will possess us." He smirked.
"G-GRAY! DON'T SAY THAT!" I yell and hug him tightly. He's got no shirt on (what a surprise) and my head rests on his chest where I can hear his hear beat loudly.
"I'm joking Geez (Y/N), You know for a dragon slayer your a real wimp." He smirked.
"Am not!" I yelled at him.
"Are too." He mumbled.

I smirked and shot up, I was about to defend myself until I heard the scream on the TV which caused me to jump. Gray chuckled.

"See. Wimp." He said. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever Ice ballerina." I smirk.
"What's wrong Comet girl? Can't take the heat?"
"Nothings wrong, Pretty boy." I smirk.

He smirked at me and raised an eyebrow.
"Did you just call me pretty boy?" He asked.
"Yes I did, what are you gonna do about it?" I smirk.
"This." He said and kissed me. I looked at him a little confused.
"Oh, what am I going to do, the ice wizard kissed me." I said sarcastically.

Then there was another scream coming from the TV and I fell off of the sofa because I was on the  edge of it anyway.

Gray burst out laughing at me as I was on my back from falling. I felt my face go bright red in embarrassment.
"See, you're a wimp and a Klutz." He said still laughing hysterically.

I rolled my eyes then grabbed hold of his arm dragging him down to the floor. He landed right next to me.

"And you're an idiot for not keeping your guard up." I say with a smirk. He grins slightly and leans on his elbow sideways staring at me.
"Is that so?" He asked. I nodded.

He just stared at me and I smiled slightly. He leant in for a kiss.

About two seconds after a thought popped into my head.
"Gray?" I ask breaking the kiss
"Yeah?" He says.
"You and Juvia." I say.
"What about us?" He asks.
"Where you two ever together?" I ask.

He pauses for a moment and looks away.
"Not exactly." He says.
"Not exactly?" I repeat in a question.
"We... well... I... she..." he stops "I don't know how to explain." He muttered.
"Okay, well did you go on a date?" I ask. He shook his head.
"Did you kiss her?" I ask.

He looks away and I know that was a yes. He looks at me guiltily, and I start to worry.
"Why are you looking like that? I mean it's fine if you kissed." I say.  His face looks more and more sorry then before. "What's wrong?" I ask.
"I... the day I met you I kissed Juvia." He muttered. He looks at me sadly. "She, well, she was going to a job and, I dunno, I just kind of kissed her. We've kissed before. Like her birthday party, but nothing more. That's a promise."

I look and him and smile.
"Calm down Gray, I asked if you'd been with Juvia because I want to go welcome her back into the real world after she's been stuck in a  infirmary. I wanted to make sure things weren't awkward between you guys." I smile.
"So you're not mad that I kissed her the day I met you?"
"Why would I be? I mean, you didn't know we where going to date, I'm sure I was one of the last things on your mind." I laughed "Geez I thought you were going to tell me you've been cheating on me."

He smiled and kissed me yet again.
"On you? I couldn't. You're too sweet." He smirked.
"That smirk says otherwise." I mutter playfully.
"You said it! Not me!" He shrugs with a laugh. I then playfully punch him.

I then think back to Erza.
"You and Erza have never dated, right?" I ask. There's silence and I look at him confused. "You have?" I ask. He yet again shrugs.
"When we where kids we liked each other. But that's when we were kids." He said. "I guess we where both new to fairy tail, and kind of... I don't know... but the day that lisanna died... sorry... went to Edolas." I looked at him confused but he ignored my expression "She asked me out." He says "I said no. I didn't like her anymore and it wouldn't be fair to pretend that I did, but she moved on and found Jellal."

I stayed silent and nodded slightly.
"Why'd you ask that?" He asks. I feel my face go bright red. Erza is one of his close friends, I can't just say I fell out with her and possibly offend him in any way. "Is it because of when I was knocked out?" He asks. I look at him with wide  eyes. He chuckled at my expression.  "I was still slightly conscious." He smiled. He then looked at me with a serious face "I don't know what happened, but I do know it's not like Erza to get worked up over anything like that." He says.

I open my mouth to say something but realise it wouldn't be worth mentioning, after all, it's not like Gray would agree or anything.

But still, Gray sees that I wanted to say something. "Go on, what were you going to say?" He asks.
"Well... do you think that she still sort of has feelings for you. I mean I get she's with Jellal and the Jerza ship is a thing... but could it be that she's still honing on to the Grayza." I say quietly.
"The... Grayza?" He asks.
"It's a thing,  I didn't just make it up! It's even on Fairy tail couples wiki!" I say. He ignores his confusion and shrugs.
"I doubt it. But Erza seemed fine with you before didn't she?" He asks.  I nod slightly.

She hated me all of a sudden. It wasn't gradual. And I don't know what I did to deserve it, but I know for sure she hated me.

"Maybe, I could speak to her...?" I say. Gray looks at me uneasily.
"I don't know if you've seen Erza angry, but she isn't usually the person who you'd like to speak to at that point." He says nervously. I sigh and then think.
"I'm speaking to her, but you're coming with me." I say standing up.
"What?! No way!" He says.

I raise an eyebrow.
"What, are you too chicken of Erza?"
"Dude she has like over 100 swords, yes I am scared of her." He says.

Ugh! Fine I'll have to pull out the water works.

I look away sadly.
"Fine... it's just... she's your friend and I..." My eyes start watering "I guess I just... wanted to..." I pause and he sighs.
"Fine! I'll go!" He says.

I giggle and wipe my eyes.
"Thank you Gray!" I say and kiss his cheek then drag him off the floor and out the door to the guildhall.

But when I was at the Guild hall there was silence, nobody was drinking, nobody was laughing. They just all looked sad.
"U-um hey guys, what's with the long faces?" I ask. Erza snaps her head towards me. 
"This is your fault!" She yells at me.
"What is?" I ask.
"Juvia was our friend! She was one of our guild mates!" Erza says even angrier.
"Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on?!" I say yelling directly at Erza.
"Juvia... she's left the guild..." Lucy says quietly.
