Chapter 76: Thank God he's gone!

Your POV

"Dark...night..." I repeat. Gray looks at Cana uneasily.
"As in the person, or the whole guild decided it was a smart choice to show up?"
"The person." She sighed uneasily.

I felt the blood drain from my cheeks. He's here? What?! Why?! He hasn't come here to marry me has he?

"What does he want?" I ask.
"He says he wants to talk to you."
"Over my dead body is he saying anything to (Y/N)!" Gray says
"Has he hurt anyone to get here?" Wendy asks.
"No one. Natsu tried attacking him and he just dodged all of his attacks. He didn't even fight back or anything."

I stare at Cana blankly.
"Are you sure you're thinking of the right person?" I ask. She nods her head. I sigh a little.
"What does dad and master have to say about all of this?" Romeo asks.

Cana shakes her head.
"They haven't said anything. Just that if (Y/N) and him are discussing anything, Guildarts has to be in the room with them." She sighs. "Don't worry (Y/N), dad will protect you if anything does happen." She says as we arrive at the guild hall.

"And if anything does happen that bastard will die. I'm not loosing you again (Y/N)." Gray mutters as he takes my hand protectively before Cana opens the guild doors.

There stands the person who I thought I'd never want to see again. The person who destroyed my life, and my friends lives too.

And this is now the person who is offering me a welcoming, friendly smile as if nothing has ever happened.

Bryan.

Everyone is staring at him with either shock, anger or hatred. Yet he still doesn't retaliate. Instead his eyes are focused on me.

"(Y/N)." I hear him say as he looks at me softly.
"What the hell do you want?" I ask.
"I need to speak to you." He muttered.
"About?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
"About lots of things, (Y/N), I'm not here to threaten you, I'm here to appologise."

I look at him and laugh slightly.
"Rule number three of the Darknight guild rules. Never appologise, it is seen as a weakness towards enemies and it shows you have made mistakes. Darknight guild members never make mistakes." I quote "so tell me why the freaking hell you're actually here." I say.
"Because I've seen the error in my ways (Y/N), and the rules have also been changed," he says " Rule number three in the Darknight guild rules. Never appologise to your enemy, this can be seen as weakness towards enemies, however, Darknight members are encouraged to appologise if they have done something unforgivable to alias." He says looking at me.
"I'm far from your alias, you and I both know that." I say.
"That's also why I'm here. I want to re-start our friendship, go back to the way it was when you first joined the guild." He says calmly. I raise an eyebrow.
"Restart?!" I laugh "you think you can ruin my life, my friends lives, and restart our friendship?" I say in an  annoyed tone "Not to mention, how can I even trust you?! You betrayed me and took every last hope I had of being friends with you when you were forcing me into a marriage with you!" I say tears in my eyes "How do I not know you're not going to cast some sort of spell on me and enchant me into leaving my family and marrying you again?!" I say.

Bryan smiles sadly and shakes his head.
"(Y/N), I have no reason too." He says as he holds up his left hand showing a wedding band on it."I'm now married to Vortex, you and Mr Fullbuster over there made me realise I need to marry the one I love, and that's Vortex." He smiled "like I said (Y/N), I only want to discuss things with you, nothing more." He says and offers a kind smile "however, if you don't want to then that's fine." He says and begins to walk out the guild hall "Good bye (Y/N)."

He is now behind me and literally just about to walk out the door. 
"Thank God he's gone!" Gray muttered quietly.

I should be relieved right?  Happy?  It's over... right?
