Chapter 47: This is a joke right?!

Your POV

Gray looks at me and sighs slightly.
"I didn't want to tell you, because I didn't want you to freak out," He pauses looking straight at me "There's a high chance you'll be leaving the human world and going to the celestial world." He says.

My eyes widen as he says this. This can't be true. He must be insane. I'm a human, not to mention there's no reason for me going to the celestial world...

"What?! This is a joke right?!" I yell and get up a little too quickly then stumble to the ground again.
"Princess, don't push yourself, you must relax for a bit." Vulpecula says glaring at Gray for making me worry.
"I can't relax! Not when I'm going to the spirit world!" I say shocked.

Gray looks away and sighs slightly, and it takes me a moment to realise the fact that he knew this information.
"How'd you know this...?" I ask.
"Loke told me..." he says.
"Leo? How'd Leo know?" I ask a little confused. I haven't spoke to Leo since the day I got hold of the Vulpecula key.
"Loke ' s my friend, when you girls invaded our home yesterday the boys, Levy, Lisanna and I went to go pick up your ring. Loke was there too. Then I started talking about how I'm protective over you and how I'm worried it might get worse... cut a long story short Loke said that when a human is protective over a spirit then they start loosing their powers." He says him looking away from me and down to the floor covered in leaves.
"Is this true?" I ask looking at Vulpecula.

She sighs slightly and nods.
"I do believe so Princess (Y/N)," She says "And if I do say so myself, it shows." She says.
"Wait... what do you mean?" I ask.
"It took a while for you to get my key and drain me of my power, however I am half the power to defeat then Tarutala or Bellatrix is, and Tarutala you beat when you were much, much younger." She says.

Wait a minute, Vulpecula was an easier spirit to beat?

"Wait... but it... and you..."
"Exactly, Princess, for some reason your powers are deteriorating." She says "I'm guessing this is because, although you're half human you're still celestial spirit blood, meaning that you have to go to the celestial world for awhile to survive." She says.
"But I don't have a gate! Nor a key! Nor anything to get me out of the world!" I say desperately.
"Then I'm afraid princess, you'll be stuck there." She says sadly.

I look at Gray and feel my eyed well up with tears.
"Gray... I don't want to go..." I say quietly.

He sighs and kneels next to me.
"I'm sorry..." he muttered as he pulled me into a hug "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you from this... I let you down." He says and squeezes me tightly
"It's not your fault..." I say.
"Yes it is! Damn it!" He says and I feel him tense up.

Why is he angry? We can't help what's going to happen. Any of it. So what's the point in being angry?

"Gray..." I say. He pulls away from the hug and looks at me directly in the eyes, his cold grey ones staring at my (E/C) ones.
"Yes (Y/N)?" He asks.
"Lets get married before next week, how about in a couple of days." I say with a smile.

He looks at me a little shocked.
"What's with the change of heart?" He asks.
"Gray... if I... if I'm going to leave this world I want to leave this world as your wife... even if I can't stay and live the life I wanted with you I at least want to marry you Gray... so c-c-" tears started pouring out of my eyes and onto the ground "can we do that?" I ask.

He looks at me and pauses for a moment then stands up, however he manages to pick me up when he stands up holding me bride style.
"Of course. . ." He smiles and places a kiss on my lips.

I can't help but feel sadness. This isn't going to last forever, soon I'll be ripped away from the life I have here and forced into one in the celestial world.

I wonder if I'll have to be royalty there.. attend balls or whatever royals do.

And what happens when I become Queen? And what happens when I die or resign? I won't have an heir to the throne. Im not pregnant, after all Gray and I havent even thought about kids in our relationship yet, and i refuse to have a child with someone I do not love. So then what? Will the kingdom just die down due to no leadership? Become utter chaos and find itself disapearing slowly into destruction due to this?

My head buzz ' s through all these thoughts but this melts away as I start to think of my last days with Gray. I'm going to have to spend these wisely.

After all, I may not get many more days with him...

Gray pulls away from the kiss and looks at Vulpecula.
"Thank you for healing her." He says to her. She nods slightly and sadly and then returns to her celestial gate.

Time skip!

When we walk out of the woods we are greeted by Natsu, Lucy, Lisanna, Levy, Gajeel, Cana, Mira, Leo, Erza, Laxus and Wendy.

"We where worried about you guys!" Wendy says as walk out of the woods.
"What were you guys doing in there? Why didn't you stay in the park?" Erza asks.
"Something came up which meant that (Y/N) ended up in the woods." Gray chuckled slightly.
"Why are you carrying her ike that?" Laxus asks confused
"She hurt her legs." He says.

As Gray's makes excuses I look over at Leo and he keeps my gaze.
"Leo," I say "we need to talk." I say after everyone had finished their debate.

And it's urgent.

Two updates in one day! I hope you guys liked this chapter!

So basically I managed to finish this chapter off real quick as I had no homework!

(Well I do but I have work experience for the next two weeks and then break up for summer meaning that it's now all summer holiday homework)

So I will start on some of that tomorrow but for now have an early update!
