Chapter 69 : You guys are dating, right?

Vulpecula

Erza stares at me as if I'm insane. "What? Why?"
"Look, (Y/N) is back in the human world, and I need to warn Gray about it, but I don't want to accidently come across (Y/N). So I need to possess a body." I say.
"But why me?" She asks.
"Because, you're the closest person to Gray other than (Y/N)." I sigh.
"What about Lucy?" She asks.
"Lucy is a celestial mage, I'm a celestial spirit. Our powers will mingle with each other too much and become somewhat inseparable meaning I'll be stuck to Lucy forever." I say.
"I see... but how do I know you're telling the truth?" She asks.
"Listen, I'll part posess you if you like, meaning you still have consciousness and can break away at any point you like." I say with a sigh. She looks at me uneasily.
"And you promise this is for my otp- I mean Gray and (Y/N)?" She asks. I nod. "Very well then, I guess I could allow it." She says.
"Thank you." I mutter quietly.

I keep my word and only half posess her. It's horrible half-posessing someone because you can read each other's minds, and it's like two of you living in one body.

Well... that's because it is two of you living in one body but still.

I walk back inside to Jellal, Lyon, Juvia and Lucy.
"Hey guys. Where's Natsu and Gray?" I ask.
"Don't you remember, Gray was chasing after Natsu after an argument, you should probably check by the canal though, that's where Natsu loves to go if he's running somewhere." Lucy smiles.
"Oh, okay. Thank you." I say.

Jellal looked at me / Erza.
"What did that girl say to you?" He asked.
"Oh, Vulpecula? Nothing. She just wanted to discuss a couple things that had happened when I - I mean she possessed me." I say. "Either way I've got to go now."I say and kiss Jellal on the lips then leave.

" What the heck, Vulpecula?" I hear Erza say.
"What? You guys are dating, right?" I ask.
"No! He has a fia-"
"No... Erza he has a massive crush on you and you on him. That's why I thought you were dating."
"But I-"
"Sorry but what's done is done." I say

There was silence. Oops! Well I honestly thought they where dating due to the feelings they have for each other.

She stayed silent and then I walked around looking for any sign of Gray. I eventually spot (Y/N), Gray and Natsu along with Leo holding (Y/N) in his arms protectively.

"Looks like you're a bit late Vulpecula..." Erza says in a slightly sad tone.
"It's never too late." I say to her.

"Gray Fullbuster! Get here this instant!" I yelled. Erza has an extremely powerful voice much different from mine. Gray looked over at us a little shocked.
"O-oh hey Erza..." he said then then looked over at Leo "we need to discuss something." I say.
"Can it wait?" He asks nervously obviously not wanting to upset Erza.
"No, I'm afraid it can't." I say.

Gray looks over at Leo and glares at him.
"I'm watching you. I don't know what you or your stupid world have done to (Y/N), but I'm gonna find out what it is." He says.
"Good luck Gray!" I hear Natsu say "If Erza wants to talk to you she probably wants to kill you so good luck." He chuckled.
"Shut up pyro." He says glaring then walks over to us.

I walk away from everyone so that they don't see / hear us.
"Gray it's Vulpecula-"
"Wait... what?!"
"Basically I possessed Erza with her permis-"
"What the hell have your people done to (Y/N)?" He yells.
"Dude. Don't compare a whole race on just one person." I said glaring at him "The Queen wiped her memories. That's what I wanted to talk to you about. Gray she's here to look at a wedding venue." I say.
"W-wedding venue?" He asks in shock.
"Yes. Leo and (Y/N) are going to get married in a couple of months. They've decided that they're going to get married in this world instead of the celestial spirit world." I say.
"What the hell is wrong with Loke? I thought he was my friend."
"His memories had been altered by the Queen. He thinks he's in love with (Y/N). His memories tell him that they've been together for a couple of years now."
"Why are they doing this?" He asks in an annoyed, and slightly heartbroken tone.
"Because they don't want a human on the celestial spirit world throne. If you marry (Y/N) you will automatically become king when (Y/N) becomes queen. It's also known that humans are indecisive about relationships. Whilst Celestial spirits stick with their loved ones, humans break away and change their minds. This could also cause havoc on the throne if this happened and cause a war. The royals decided that the best way to avoid any of that happening is to make her marry a celestial spirit." I say quietly.
"But she's half human too..." Gray says.
"And half celestial spirit." Vulpecula sighed.

Gray POV

I get it now. I understand the whole reason for this, I'm not angry at Loke anymore, nor am I hurt by (Y/N). I'm slightly annoyed because she promised she wouldn't forget about me that time aftrr Darknight.

But I guess it's not her fault... not really.

I look at Vulpecula / Erza.
"Well then, I guess I'll have to win her back and earn their trust, right?" I say with a small smirk. Vulpecula looks at me uneasily but then nods.
"Yes, it seems so Mr Fullbuster. But I suggest you do it soon, after this little visit (Y/N) will return to the celestial spirit world and won't be back until the day of her wedding." She says. I nod my head. And with that Erza falls to the ground and Vulpecula is standing next to her. "Thank you for the help Erza." She says. Erza nods weakly then stands up.

I walk back to where Natsu, and Leo where. Suprisingly (Y/N) wasn't there, which confused me slightly.

I'm hoping she hasn't gone back to the celestial spirit world...
