Gray POV
"Your master, master Ur..." she says nervously
"What about her?" I ask her staring at her.
"She was, a good friend of mine, almost like a second mother after Ivera." She mutters quietly.
FLASH BACK TIME!
Ur had just used ice make: shell on Delioura. I could hear a silent sobbing sound but I don't notice it. I'm too busy grieving for Ur.
Once I explain everything to Lyon I see a girl with (H/C) hair running off into the distance. I guessed she had just seen someone she cared about destroyed by Delioura.
FLASH BACK ENDS
"That was you?" I muttered.
"W-What do you mean? " she asks slightly startled.
"You watched Ur die didn't you." I say.
"You mean use the Ice shell? Yes. I did." She says quietly.
I look over at her and smile slightly. Once again I wrap my arms around her and she tenses up at my embrace.
"Why are you hugging me?" She asks. I smile and pull away.
"Because you were the girl Ur always talked about, you were the girl who I had fallen for just by hearing what Ur had to say about you." I mutter.
"Wait. What?" She asks looking at me surprised.
"Ur talked about you a lot. She also brought home a lot of your foods you gave to her. Geez I never knew you could cook." I laugh
"Only ever so slightly!" She says modestly. "Dragon's don't cook too well, and the comets Ivera produced burnt half of the food, so I decided to learn a bit. I gave some to Ur because I was thankful of her help." She says with a soft smile.
"Her help?" I asked.
"Ivera had decided in our training to give me independent training, I was about four or five and that basically means she decided to leave me on my own for a bit." She laughed slightly, "I got so scared that I ran into the local village trying to look for her, that's when Ur came in and I told her everything from me being a dragon slayer to pretty much everything." She pauses slightly "She basically helped me out, a lot. I think after that Ivera realised not to give me anymore independent training." She giggled slightly. I smiled at the story. That sounds like Ur. "But she also helped me when Ur disappeared. She never took me in or anything but she reassured me that everything was going to be okay. That I was going to be okay on my own. That I could do this."
As she says this a soft smile forms on her face. (Y/N) probably knew Ur as much as I did. I guess she's gonna be sad on her anniversary of death too.
"Your idea of going to the beach and laying something in her memory, that's a good idea." I said. I then thought, "Wait a minute why did you say the beach?" I asked.
"Because Water is the closest you're going to get to ice." She smiles. "And she was an ice make wizard after all."
I look at her uneasily. I decided not to tell her about the melting of Delioura and Ur being part of the ocean. Too much has happened in one day. Maybe next time.
"Listen it's been a long day, we should probably get some rest." I say sleepily. She laughs slightly and nods.
Within half an hour we where fast asleep.
(TIME SKIP)
Your POV
When I woke up I was all alone. I looked around a little confused and yawned slightly.
I sighed and got up and then fell on the floor exauhsted. I looked at the time. It was six am. Why was Gray gone at such an early time. Not to mention by the time we'd actually got to bed it was about 3 am, after I finished talking about Ur and stuff.
"Don't get up, you must be exauhsted." A voice said. I looked up to see Gray.
"How come you're up so early?" I asked.
"I couldn't sleep."He sighed "I kept having nightmares." He said.
"What about?" I asked.
"About you." He says.
"Am I really that ugly?" I ask. He chuckles and shakes his head.
"No. I keep having dreams that you're dying, and it's all Bryan fault." He mutters. I look at him and sigh.
"He's not gonna touch me." I say "and if he does then I'm gonna punch him with my my Celestial Dragon fist." I say truthfully.
"(Y/N), if he hurts you I wouldn't be able to forgive myself." He says.
He truly is an idiot isn't he? I look at him and sigh.
"Gray, it's not your job to protect me, I can protect myself." I mutter
"You're wrong."He says. I raise an eyebrow "I mean not about you being able to protect yourself but I mean you're wrong about the fact that you think it's not my job to protect you." I look at him confused. He sighs slightly. "I made a promise to protect you."He mutters "I made a promise to myself, that no matter what you wouldn't get hurt, that I would stop you from getting hurt."
"When did you make that?" I ask a little confused.
"When I first met you in all honesty." He says. "I wasn't going to let you get hurt by those creeps and then I guess things progressed from there onwards and still to this day I don't want you getting hurt, not to mention it's still those creeps that are trying to find you." He says.
I roll my eyes.
"You idiot. I'm okay honestly, but you should seriously stop stressing so much." I laugh and he chuckles slightly.
There was a sudden knock on the door and Gray and I looked at each other.
"Whose gonna be here at this time in the morning?" He asks.
"I don't know." I mutter. We both walk to the door and there stands Erza.
She looks at me with a smile.
"Ah, I see you're back." She laughs "Good because I want to challenge you to a fight!"
