Chapter 30: Tell them the truth

Your POV

I stare at Laxus a little confused.
"Yes?" I ask.
"We're even then. That's twice I've helped you, and twice you helped me." He says. I stare at him blankly.
"What?" I ask a little confused
"Don't pretend you don't know." He muttered "There's no way you could forgot. Nor would there be any way that I wouldn't pay you back for what you did." He said.
"I have no clue what you're talking about." I mutter.
"Yeah, yeah. Just agree." He mutters staring directly.
"Um, okay?" I say slightly confused.

He sighs in relief slightly.
"Okay good. Now, I'm guessing were training, right?" He asks. I nod.
"If there's anyway of beating Erza and the dragon slayers we have to." I mutter.

There's a nod and a sigh comes from Gray.
"Yeah. Let's just get this over with." He mutters. I nod slightly.

I can tell he's upset. But then again, who wouldn't be? After all, Erza, Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy are all his friends.

I feel kind of guilty. This is all of my fault once again. But I don't have time to feel guilty. I'm also doing this for Gray. To get his friends back.

We all start walking to a woodland area. That's where I said I would meet Mira, Cana and Lucy.

"(Y/N)!" A familiar voice says happily. I turn around to see Cana, Lucy and Mira all standing there.
"Hey you guys! I brought Laxus with us!" I smiled. Mira immidiatley glared in Laxus' direction.
"Oh? Is that so?" She asked.
"Hehe! Hi Mira!" He says nervously.
"Umm... what's going on?" I ask.
"They had an argument." Lucy replies with a small laugh.
"Oh Yeah what about?" Gray smirks.
"He didn't want me fighting because apparently I'm too weak." She muttered.
"Wait. What?" I ask "No offence Laxus but she could obliterate you."
"Those weren't those exact words..." he sighed "tell them the truth Mira."

Mira looks away and sighs.
"Fine. He doesn't want me fighting because I'm pregnant and I'm weaker." She says quietly.

There's complete silence and I look at Mira and then back at Laxus.
"OH MY GOSH! YOU GUYS THIS IS SO CUTE!" I yell and immidiatley hug Mira. She laughs a little.
"Thanks (Y/N)!" She grins. I then pause.
"But Mira," I say seriously "Laxus I'd right. The last thing we want is you or the baby getting hurt." I say.
"But... (Y/N) I want to do this. You're one of my best friends... and you really helped Laxus out." She mutters.

This Laxus thing. That's two people now. Am I the only one who can't remember anything?

"Listen, if this baby gets hurt during the fight nobody on the team or on the opposite team will be able to forgive themselves. Go home, rest up and come support us, okay?" I smile
"Bu-"
"Comet girls right." Laxus says "Mira, we can't afford for anything to happen to this baby." He says and holds her hand "just please go home. Then I'll know your safe." He smiles. She sighs.
"Fine. But I'm coming to cheer you guys on!" She says "good luck you guys." She says and then walks to the exit of the woods.

I sigh in slight relief.
"Thank goodness she's gone. I doubt this fight is going to be easy and the last thing I want is Mira or the baby getting hurt." Laxus says quietly looking at Mira leaving. "Anyway, should we start?" He asks. We all nod.

Soon we start training. When I say we I mean Cana, Lucy, Gray and I. Laxus merely sits back and tells us where to improve.

"So. Why don't you and I have a small fight." Gray smirks in our break "next hour session, you and I." He says.
"Fine. On one condition ." I say with a smirk.
"And what's that?" He says raising an eyebrow his smirk still present.
"No holding back." I say "I don't care weather you think I can't take anymore don't hold back." I smile "not until I say I give up."
"Okay. Likewise."

Within a moment we where in a fighting stance.
"Ready?" Lucy smiles.
"Set!" Cana says
"Fight!" Laxus says.

Before either of us could make a move a massive flame shoots down towards us. Gray and I move out of the way just in time.

I could smell who it was. There scent was a scent of Burning wood. Natsu.

"Ha! So this is your gang hm?" The Pyro's voice says coming above us. Just as we look up he jumps down from the branch he was perched on and falls to the ground. "Cute. The Ice Ballerina and the Queen of the stars are battling?" He asks.
"Natsu! Stop!" Lucy yells. Natsu ' s eyes widen and they look at Lucy. "Luce?" He says. For a moment he seems sane. But soon a sickly smile formed on his face. "So you're joining these weirdos?" He asked.
"They're our friends!" Lucy snaps.
"So you'll choose friends over your own mate." He mutters. He laughs slightly "Wow, lisanna should have obviously been my mate. I should have chose her instead."

What does he mean he should have chose her instead?

Lucy looked away from Natsu and down to the floor.
"How could you say that?" She asked tears in her eyes.
"It's true." He said.
"Lucy..." Cana muttered.
"H-How... how could you... s-say that?!" She repeats. "After everything we've been through!" She yells.

There's silence and she turns to look at me.
"This is your fault. All your fault!" She says.

Wait. What's going on?

Suddenly the magical energy around Lucy feels very strong. This isn't just Lucy anymore.
"Open! Gate of the giant bull: Taurus!" Lucy yells. Out comes Taurus.
"My Lucy, you're looking extra fine today, what can I do for you today? And if I do it will I get a smooch."

Lucy stares directly at me.
"Kill her." She says.
