Chapter 19: In Erza's Name

Your POV

"Who exactly are you? What do you want? Why are you trying to help me? Why are you against me? What the heck is going on?!" I say bombarding him with questions. I hear a sigh on the other side of the phone.
"Okay. I guess I should start from the begging." He pauses "Princess (Y/N), my name is Aquila, The carrying Eagle. I'm one of your father's servants but came to Earthling because it seems that you are in trouble. I'm a dark key, however I used my own magic to come to Earthland. Like I said, I came here because it seems as if you were in trouble, and due to the fact that you're our next heir we can't afford you marrying someone who could destroy our people." He says "I joined the Darknight guild a couple months ago, as you know, in the name of Venture. I did this because then I could join the strongest team in Darknight and also get close to Bryan, after all he's dating Vortex. I am not against you in any way Princess, please understand that." He says quietly.
"So why did you come up with the whole plan for the thing?" I asked.
"Do you think that your guild are going to let you die or have your memories erased without them fighting back. They'll be searching for you constantly. Besides Gray will soon realise through your mate bond.." he says quietly

Gray POV

Natsu had come to the guild for our memorial, Lucy had tried but she just fainted so had to go back home.

The memorial of (Y/N). I never thought I would have to go through this. At least not with (Y/N).

This is the first time a member of fairy tail has died since I've been at the guild. And guess what. It just happens to be my girlfriend.

I know that she's still alive. But still, she won't even remember me. So what's the point? It wouldn't mean anything to her,all the memories that we've shared. Nothing. It would mean absolutely nothing.

We where all stood outside of the guild in the gardens.
"Today, we lost a great friend. (Y/N) (L/N) died. We know from our enemies that (Y/N) Is not dead. However, her memories of fairy tail are most likely gone. We hope that our paths with her may meet again."

Everybody put the L using their fingers up to the sky creating the one symbol we use in terms of respect.

On the count of three we all got our magic ready and shot it up into the my causing fireworks.

But these weren't fireworks of happiness. Somehow they seemed dull. And they meant loss.

Everyone was about to leave when Natsu, Gajeel, Levy, Laxus, Cana, Mira and I got pulled in by master to come into his office.

"We need to speak urgently." He says quietly. We all step into the light of the office and we can all see that everyone has been crying. Even Gajeel and Laxus.
"What do you want old man?" Laxus asks.
"We need to get (Y/N) back." Is all master says.
"But we-" Cana gets interrupted.
"(Y/N) was our friend. Not to mention one of our family. We can't allow them to modify her memories like that. Besides if she marries this guy and half of her powers go to him and then what? They're already one of the strongest dark guilds. They'll have a lot of power over us. Not to mention as soon as he marries her he is the heir to the celestial throne along with her." He said "Meaning he has full control over celestial spirits. And if her memories have been altered then she wouldn't know any better." Master says.

"So? What can we do exactly? She's gone!" I say a little annoyed.
"That's why I've got you here. Her memories can only be permanently altered if she never comes in contact with one of us. So they'll be keeping her locked away." Master says "My children, this is a difficult task. But I need your help." He says. " I want you to crash the wedding." He says.

We all stay silent. Master never asks for anything like this to happen, after all he's a peaceful type of person... well kind of.

"When is it?" Laxus asks. Master says silent.
"I don't know. But either way we'll find a way to find out. " He then looks at Natsu. "If Lucy ' s health is restored then please tell her of this so she can help too. I know she was friends with (Y/N) and I know they share the same type of magic." He says "at least then
We have two celestial mages."

I look at everyone and sigh then shake my head.
"I'm sorry master. I can't do this." I say. Everyone just stares at me.
"Are you nuts?!" Natsu yells.
"Even if we do get her back. She's not going to be the same (Y/N) that we know." I say quietly.
"So?! Why does that matter?!"
"It matters a lot you moron!" I say. "She's not going to be the (Y/N) that appologises at everything! The same girl who insults someone because thats just the way she is. It's stupid thinking that she would return to her normal self. I'm sorry, I know you guys expect me to be fine with it. But I'm not." I say.

I then walk out and sigh. I'm sorry (Y/N) but I just can't go through that. And I don't want you to have to either.

Your POV

"So let me get this straight..." I say "You're saying that you devised this plan to help me?" I ask.
"Indeed princess."
"So... the guild are going to come at my wedding and crash it?" I ask.
"Yes."
"And then they're going to take me home?"
"Yes."
"But then what happens to you? " I ask. There was silence at the end of the phone.
"Well, I was hoping you could make a contract with me after..." Aquila / Venture says.
"Of course! I'd love to!" I say happily. I then pause "but how do I not know this is all a lie?" I ask.
"Because Princess, I'm the only one who knows the birthday of your father, and the date in which your parents were due to get married." He says.

It takes me a moment to process what he said
"They what?!" I yelled.
"Princess, please be quiet otherwise The guild members will hear you." He says . "And didn't you know?" I ask.
"No. I was never told that they almost got married. Why weren't they allowed, was it because of his father?" I ask.
"Indeed. He was disproving of their relationship." He says.
"Wait a second. Aren't celestial spirits immortal?" I ask.
"Not really, they live longer than humans. Why?"
"Well... what would happen if he were to have married my mother?" I ask.

Here I was thinking of Gray and I
"Well I don't know." He says quietly "it would be a first." There's then a pause on the phone "your mate is a human, yes?" He asks.
"Yes. You are correct."I say quietly.
"Ice wizard of the name of Gray Fullbuster?"
"Erm.. yes, how did you know?" I ask.
"Because a certain dark key is trying hard to interfere with your relationship in the name of Erza Scarlet." He says. I immidiatley freeze.
"They what?!" I say surprised.
"Unfortunately I can't tell you too much about the key as you have to make a contract with it yourself but they work on feelings of negativity much like Tarutala who works in feelings of fear." He says.

Hey guys! I really hope you're all okay! I finished my Science exams today so no more exams (or proper qualification exams) for just under a year!

This means hopefully it the homework isn't too much that I can update a lot more!
