Chapter 40: It's an illusion

Willow ' s POV

I look at the time with a sigh. It's late, (Y/N) and Gray would be worried... but I need to speak to the king before I can return to (Y/N).

I look around to make sure that there are no passer by's as I a bright flash surrounds me.

Soon, I am in the celestial world,where bright colours come alive and I'm greeted by many celestial spirits who I haven't seen for at least two -three years.

I walk over to the big palace that I'd right in front of me and, because they know me, the guards don't even question me, they just let me pass.

I walk straight to the King's throne room where I see him sitting on the throne. He looks over at me and smiles.
"Ah, Willow, it has indeed been a while." He says with a smile. I look over at Aquila who has bandages all over him, I can't believe I didn't recognise him as Venture, espescially since the only difference is the fact that Aquila has wings and his eye colour is slightly different to what he played as Venture.
"Your majesty," I say and bow slightly " I need to talk with you." I say quietly.

There was silence as the king looked over at me.
"Yes Willow?" He asks.
"We need to talk about (Y/N), your majesty." I say quietly.
"What about her?" He asks his eyes looking directly at me.

I take a deep breath in, this can only go horribly wrong or according to plan, but either way, I will most likely suffer from this, but it's important to discuss this with him.

"Your highness, don't you think you're putting her under too much?" I ask.
"What do you mean?" He asks.
"She almost died today, Your highness. I wasn't with her and I don't know what happened exactly, but one thing I do know is that your daughter almost died trying to collect a dark key." I say.
"It's her choice if she chooses the dark key path." The king says unsympathetically.
"No sir, it wasn't." Aquila says speaking up. He walks next to me in order to face the King perfectly, "The key was Vulpecula, you know the fox girl who used to work in the dungeons. She was attacking (Y/N)'s friends, she had no choice but to fight her."
"Ah yes, Vulpecula, I put her up to it." He say " If she's going to be the heir to the throne she has to be able to not be deceived ."
"That almost killed her!" I yelled. Something inside of me snapped. I hated the fact that he was so oblivious to everything, as a king you'd think he'd be intelligent enough to get it! (Y/N) is still half human, meaning she's weaker then a celestial spirit!" I say no calmer.
"Willow-" the king tried to reason
"Your majesty, don't you care that your daughter may not make it alive before she see ' s you, doesn't tha-"
"Willow!"
"-bother you! (Y/N) so despertaley wants to meet you but if you kill her off by commanding your stupid spirits, what the hell is that going to do to her, that'll break her heart, not having the chance to meet her father, not to mention Ivera disapeared!" I say now almost in tears.

I felt arms wrap around me as I started crying. I look to see that Lily was there hugging me.

Lily... how'd he get here...

But not before long Lily was chanting a sleeping spell on me.
"It's an illusion." Aquila says his eyes staring at me as I fall asleep "I'm sorry Willow you've said too much." He mutters.
