Chapter 60: Holy Shooting Stars Above

Your POV

Just as Gray and I finished getting ready Lucy had knocked on my door.
"Okay!" She said with a grin on her face "(Y/N), we are going dress shopping! Gray, Natsu is back at my apartment, like usual of course, so I suggest you meet him there. He's not awake so you might wanna wake him up. He's been cranky lately so I have no responsibilities for your future injuries. It was nice talking to you!" She said then grabbed my hand and started running.

As soon as we get to the first bridal shop I'm greeted by a shock.
"Good morning and welcome how may I he-" Draco stops and looks at us with a smile.
"Oh er.. hey Draco?" I say a little confused.
"Good morning (Y/N) and Lucy! How are you two this morning?"
"Great thanks!" Lucy said happily.
"Yeah..." I mutter "not too bad yourself?" I ask still confused.

Since when has she worked in a bridal shop?

"I'm guessing you're looking for a wedding dress for your's and Gray's wedding, am I right? " She asks. I nod and she smiles slightly and happily "I just so happen to have one that I think would be perfect for your special day!" She smiles.

I look at her uneasily still.
"Don't look at me like that! Come on! Let's go out to the back where it is!" She smiles.

Lucy follows her and literally drags me to where Draco was going. But when I'm there I'm surrounded by a load of beautiful white wedding dresses.

"Holy Shooting Stars above..." I mutter as I see all of them and stare at them in disbelief.

They where all so different. Some that had sequence, others had beads. Others had ruffles, others had roses, some glittered, others sparkled. And others where just white and plain. But beautiful none the less.

Draco smiled as she saw my reaction. Without hesitation or any second thought she picked one up and smiled showing it to me.
"I think this one will suit you perfectly." she smiles and shows me the white dress.

The dress was plain. There was no fancy extra detail and it was as white as snow yet had a tint of ivory in it. Although it was plain and had no sequence or glitter on it the dress shone in the light. And the style? The style was exactly what I wanted it to be. None the less this dress was perfect.

"Why not try it on (Y/N)?" Lucy asked and shoved me into the changing room with the dress.

Once I finally finish changing (with some help with the corset attached to the dress by Draco) I stand in front of mirror that reflects me.

I stare and I stare at it until it finally sinks in that this is me. And I'm wearing this dress.

Although that sounds crazy, I'd never thought that a dress would make me look so good. Not in the way that this dress does.

The style and design is perfect and I don't think I can fault it a single bit.

But a dress this beautiful and this perfect has to cost a fortune. A fortune that I probably don't have.

I look over at Draco uneasily.
"How much is it?" I ask.
"20,000 jewels." She smiles.

I stare at her in shock. She has to be joking.

No way a dress this beautiful could be that cheap?!

"Are you sure...?" I ask. She laughs slightly.
"Of course I'm sure." she smiles "the dress has been in this shop for over 10 years, nobody has seemed to have liked it as such, up until now, of course, due to the fact as it hasn't fitted their style correctly,"She says kind of sadly, but her face then brightens.
"Okay. Well I'm paying for it. And now." I say.

Once I slip out of the dress I walk back out to the front of the bridal shop where the counter is.

I immidiatley pay Draco and she hands me the dress happily.
"Hey thanks for your dress today Draco." I smile happily.

Maybe she isn't as bad as I thought she was...?

"No problem! You're having the wedding at the guild hall right?" She asks. I nod slightly.
"Yes! That means everyone from the guild can come! Are you coming?" I ask.
"Of course! Wouldn't miss it for the world!" She smiles. I smile happily and nod and then we say goodbye and leave.

I didn't realise you're having the wedding at Fairy Tail (Y/N)." Lucy says happily and helps me carry the dress as it's so heavy. I blame the corset on the dress.

"Yeah, Gray and I haven't told any-"

Wait a minute. If Gray and I haven't told anyone then how does she know exactly?

I shake that thought out of my head. Now is not the time to be thinking about that.

"So what next?" I ask.
"We drop your dress at my apartment and then we go to the new florists that opened just up the road from me." She says with a smile.

I nod.

This is gonna be a busy day...

Leo POV

I stare at the walls, looking at every single detail until it drives me nuts. I could be out doing something. Helping Lucy, helping (Y/N) or my other mage... not that she ever calls me.

"Leo." I hear a familiar voice say. Aries? I look to outside the bar and there I see Aries with tears in her eyes.
"Aries... what are you doing here...?" I ask a little confused.
"L-leo I know what they're going to do to you, b-but I just want you to know that I love you... I-I always have and I always will." She mutters.
"You - wait hold one a sec? What?"

I walk up to her in the iron bars and she looks at me with her usual blushing face and teary eyes.
"I'm sorry Leo. I-I was never brave enough to ask you and now it's too late..." she muttered quietly.
"What do you mean it's too late?" I ask confused.

Aries has just confessed to me. One of the girls who I've liked for what seems like forever. I always pushed my affection for her because I thought she didn't see me in that way.

But now that I know nothing is in our way when I get out of here. If I get out of here.

Behind her comes the Queen with her resting sinister smile on her face.
"You're marrying my step-daughter. Don't you remember?" She smiles.
"What? (Y/N)? No. I'm not marry-"
"I see you don't remember." She mutters.

Through the bars Aries takes my hand and pulls me towards her.
"I'm sorry Leo... maybe in an other life.." she muttered and kissed my cheek.

With that tears streamed down her cheeks and she ran off.
"Aries wa-"
"I'll just have to make you remember..." the Queen smirks.
