Chapter 84: Except this is an Exception [EDITED]

Your POV

"That's. . . Impossible how can someone have two mates?!" Gray yells.
"That's why you feel different around me (Y/N), because like Fullbuster here, I am your mate." Hoshi says ignoring Gray completely.
"I don't understand..." I mutter "Gray is my mate, nobody else. Gray."
"Yeah!" Natsu says "When it came to my mate I had to choose between Lisanna or Lucy, because two mates aren't aloud and interfere with the whole mating system."

Hoshi smirks slightly his eyes on me as he begins speaking.
"You're not aloud two mates. Except this is an exception..." he smirks.
"How?!" Gray yells
"Because, to begin with, I wasn't dead. Therefore she would have been my mate if I survived. If someone dies before mating season then the mate of the deceased gets another mate. However, usually someone isn't revived." He says "You see, when someone dies the mate bond towards them isn't broken, that's why if you visit a grave of your mate you'd get a strong feeling of power, however when someone dies before they can ever meet their mate, a new mating bond is released. And Gray over here just so happened to be the one that it went to." He says "Ivera chose him like she chose me." He smirks.

I stare at him blankly.  I'm so confused. . .

"That's a load of crap!" Natsu says angrily.
"Is it?" He chuckles
"You're not my little sis' mate that ice cube over there is!" Natsu growled.
"Is that so?" Hoshi asks as he walks over to Natsu.
"It sure is!" Natsu yells.

Before Natsu could even say anything Hoshi placed his lips onto Natsu with a smirk.

As soon as he did this an excruciating, familiar, burning pain came from my lips. Tears welled in my eyes as my heart sank.

This was all too familiar... it was like when Gray cheated on me...

Lucy POV

Pain. That's all I feel. Pain.

Natsu Dragneel. My so-called mate. He was cheating on me. And I knew exactly who with.

That slag (Y/N)...

Leo smirked softly. "Well, how'd you feel?" He grins. He gave me something. Something that makes me see clearer.

I hate him. I hate Natsu Dragneel.  I hate everything about that pyro-freak.

Leo looks at me with a small laugh.
"Well?" He chuckles.
"He's cheating." I say bluntly looking up at him. 

Leo's eyes widen in shock.
"He is?" He laughed "Wow this gets even better." He laughs "I wonder who with." Leo says curiously. 
"I know exactly who with..." I mutter quietly "her."

She's the only one that Natsu would cheat on. That or Lisanna. But Lisanna isn't on the Island. The only girls on the island are Erza, but Natsu is terrified of her, Wendy, but she's too young for Natsu and lastly theres her.

Leo's eyes grow colder and harder. "Slag." I hear him mutter under his breath. I nod my head in agreement and Leo looks over at me and then smiles. "Well how about some revenge?" He smirks evilly a chuckle escaping his mouth. I nod my head.

It's time for payback Natsu...

Natsu POV

Hold on a sec! This guy just kissed me?! Ew! Last time I checked I wasn't gay! Besides! I have Lucy!!

I pushed Hoshi off of me and glare at him. "Are you insane?!" I yell at him. He ignores me and looks over at (Y/N).
"Believe me now?" He chuckles.  She nods her head, almost in tears from the pain.
"So you really are her mate, huh?" Gray mutters glaring at him. Hoshi nods his head bearing a smirk. Gray looks over at (Y/N) and then sighs. "Fine then. Let's fight for (Y/N)." Gray finally says.
"WHAT?!" (Y/N) and I say in unison.

If Gray and Hoshi fight and both of them get hurt, then the pain will be enflicted on (Y/N)...

"Gray wait!" I say to the ice head staring directly at me.
"What?" He asks. His eyes were clouded over with anger and hurt.

He wants to make (Y/N) have him as his only mate. I can see that in him. But if he does this he can cause more pain in (Y/N), both emotionally, and physically.

"Stop, you'll end up hurting (Y/N)." I say calmly.
"Hurting her?! I'm doing this for her!" Gray says glaring at me. (Y/N) was silent looking at the three of us with a worried expression.

Damn it you good for nothing ice cube!

(Y/N) POV

I  don't know what's going on or why I feel this way. Well... I do but, I don't know how to stop it.

I love Gray.

I don't love Hoshi.  I never have. I mean I had a crush on him once upon a time. But love him?

I don't think I knew what love was back then. I don't think I could've loved anyone or anything. 

I didn't love Hoshi. I don't love Hoshi. I love Gray. Gray Fullbuster. The weird guy with stripping habits who saved me from Darknight and the guild. The guy who drives me crazy, the guy whose hurt me a billion times and I've hurt him a billion times. The guy who knows me more than anyone else, even myself.

The guy who I love.

"Stop." I say quietly as Natsu and Gray look at each other. Hoshi, Natsu and Gray look at me.
"What is it?" Natsu asks.
"I want you to stop all this." I mutter. I feel drained. I feel ill. I feel terrified. And I feel hurt. 
"Stop all of what (Y/N)?" Hoshi asks.
"This. All this crap about everything.  This fighting, this nonsense... I just want if to stop." I say.

My eyes were previously on the ground in front of me but now I look up to face Hoshi.

"Hoshi, I'm sorry I can't do this." I say to him tears in my eyes.
"(Y/N-"
"Stop." I say "Hoshi, I've not seen you in years... you use to be my best friend. We use to get into arguments and you use to drive me insane. I use to have a crush on you but now... well... now I don't feel anything towards you."
"Wow. A bit blunt." I hear Natsu whisper to Gray. Gray rolls his eyes at Natsu's comment but both continue staring at me.
"(Y/N), you were my mate before any of this happened..." Hoshi frowned. I nod my head.
"You're right." I say "But you died." I say looking at him tears in my eyes "You died when that dragon chased us, and when the tree that was strick by lightning, set on fire and fell on you. Hoshi, that day you died... I forgot about you. Or at least I tried to. And now... now I'm seeing you here... and I... I can't do it Hoshi." I say as tears were in my eyes "I have to move on, and I have to be with the guy I love now," I pause "I'm sorry but that's not you..." I mutter as I walk over to Gray and take Gray's hand whilst still looking at Hoshi.

Hoshi stares at me with a blank expression. I can see pain, anger and hurt in his eyes.
"The Queen was right about you Princess (Y/N)." He says. His voice bitter and twisted.

The Queen?!

Hey guys...

Again I'm so sorry this has taken forever to update... I've had a week off school and I've done nothing apart from homework apart from Wednesday and Thursday, and I was at a friends house for an overnight party thing.

So yeah, it's also even hectic when it has been the holiday... I'm so sorry I'm really hoping I can update sooner!
