Chapter 20 - What girlfriend?

"Wait so it was a celestial spirit controlling Erza? " I ask a little confused.
"Yes...kind of.. ?"
"And that's why she hated me."
"Yes."
"But why me?" I ask slightly confused.
"You're a celestial mage. The target takes hold of the friends of the mages around them and turns them against them slowly. It's really quite complicated and hard to explain, but either was Erza wasn't fully in control when she threatened you." He mutters.

I was about to say something when I felt a burning sensation on my lips. It hurt a lot and felt as if something had set them on fire. I went to go get a glass of water that was on the side to soothe the sudden pain but it didn't help.

"Princess. Whatever is the matter?"
"How do you know something is wrong?" I ask.
"You're tracker allows me know if you're in pain."He says. Before I can say anything I winced in agony.

I was about to say something when the pain got worse. What the actual Hell is going on?

"Princess. I have a small feeling. And this is just an idea, so please don't worry, but I have a small feeling Gray is with another girl."

Gray POV

I have to move on. (Y/N) Is dead and there's nothing anyone can do.

Correction she isn't dead but she's as good as dead. Her memories wiped of us.

I know master wants to crash the wedding, but what good is that if she doesn't remember us?

I walked over to a tee and kicked it. (Y/N) didn't deserve any of this. She was a sweet girl. What the hell did she do? She did nothing wrong apart from make a mistake.

But I think even if she hadn't joined the dark guild, someone would still be after her.

Willow is slowly recovering in the infirmary and she's gonna come back to my place and live. After all that was her home.

She can talk again, thankfully. The effects of the spell wore off after an hour. Which meant she told us everything.

Not that I wanted to hear. I want to get rid of (Y/N). Forget about her. Because remembering her is too hurtful. Try and forget about her like she has done to me.

I know she can't help it but still. . . I feel angry towards her as well as guilty. How can she forget about us so easily? Even if she is under a spell.

I walk down to the cell which Erza is in. Master gave me the key after the first time I went to visit her.

This is when I cheated on (Y) - I stopped myself from thinking any more (Y/N)'s gone. There wasn't ever a (Y/N).

Once I arrive at Erza's cell she looked at me confused.
"Is thought you never wanted to see me again?" She said. And although she was confused she smirked slightly.
"I didn't. But I changed my mind." I say bluntly.
"So what's happened with your girlfriend then?" I flinched slightly.

I took a deep breath in and smiled slightly.
"What girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend." I look at Erza and she looks confused for a second but then smiles either way.

She's still behind a cell so I opened the door to the cell and walked inside the Cell where I kissed her.

There was nothing more to it. But It hurt more to kiss her then to be normal. My heart somehow sank. It hurt more to kiss Erza then it did to be in pain and remember (Y/N).

So I kissed Erza more, and soon I has almost forgot about (Y/N). But she was still somehow trapped in my thoughts.

"Thank you Erza." Is all I say before I leave the cell.
"Anytime Gray." Is all that Erza says.

I know Erza knows I was using her but she doesn't even care. I guess she didn't care about (Y/N) in any way.

I exit the prison using the shortcut I found when I was a kid which lead Me to a hidden door on the outside of the guild hall.

I walked away from the guild hall and saw Juvia.
"Oh... Gray..."she says quietly. "Are you okay after..."
"After what? (Y/N)?" He asks. "I don't care." I say brutally and bluntly.

Again my heart sinks when I say this, I don't know why I'm lying to myself but I am.
"O-oh." Is all she says. I take Juvia ' s hand and smile.
"Anyway let's go out tonight! You and I. Just as friends of course." I say. She looks at me a little bit confused and then takes her hand away.
"Im sorry Gray. Juvia does love Gray... but Juvia also loves (Y/N). She was a good friend of Juvia ' s."is all she says then walks off.

Your POV

"He what?!" I yelled the pain finally leaving my body "With who?!" I yell angrily.
"Princes the rest of the guild will hear you!" I yell
"I don't care!" I say angrily "who the hell has he cheated on me wi-"

Before I could even notice my heart sank. It was the feeling you get when you overhear something about yourself that someone is saying about you cruelly.

Except this is ten times worse. It was almost painful with it and I couldn't help but cry.

And even though I wasn't there I knew exactly what Gray had said. It was stuck in my head as if it were a catchy song.

Except this wasn't a song. It was Gray telling someone he didn't care that I was gone.

I pause on the phone as tears run down my face.

"You know what Aquila. Stuff this all. I'm going through with the wedding and will oblige to all Bryan and Darknight rules." I mumble slightly still hurting from the pain.

I doubt I'll be able to update tomorrow or the day after as I'll be travelling and at my grandparents. But hey! I'll try!
