Your big bother

April POV

"Kyungsoo. Do you having everything?" I asked.

"Ne. I just finished packing." He said through the cell phone. "I'll be there soon. Is Adam asleep?" I asked.

"No. He's staying up I guess he doesn't seem sleepy either."

"Okay. I'll be there soon."

"Okay love you."

"Love you too." I pressed the red button on the screen and I started the car. I backed out of the SM building and I immediately slammed the brakes.

I hit something. What was it? I got out of the car and I ran to the back I immediately felt my eyes swell up with tears.

He was standing there with a big smile across his face. I could notice how his eyes were getting red as well.

"Stupid-"

He pulled me into a hug. "I missed you."

"Stupid." I hissed again feeling all of the tears I've held in for these years pour out on his shoulder. "I m-missed yo-you too." I hiccuped.

I wrapped my arms around his frame and I held him close not wanting to let go. "Fucking b-baby face."

"Don't go!" I cried running after him.

"Mianhae April. But I have too. I promise I'll be home soon." He said his voice cracking after every word. "Don't worry about me I'll be fine."

That was a lie.

"Umma when is William coming home?" I asked looking up at her. She was washing the dishes.

"He'll be back soon. He promised didn't he?" Mom smiled. "Now help me dry these dishes."

"Okay." I sighed.

That was a lie as well.

"Appa when is William coming home?"

"He'll be back soon. Don't worry." My dad said as he looked through a pile of papers. His reading glasses sitting on the edge of his nose.

They didn't wanna worry me.

"I got a call from the military base." I heard. I quickly backed up and leaned up against the door trying to listen.

"What'd they say?"

"He's in critical condition. A bomb exploded near they camp site and the war broke out. He was caught in the crossfire." My dad said.

Critical condition? Nana told me that's when someone's really hurt. But William told me he was gonna be alright. To not worry about him.

Why is everyone lying to me?

Nana wasn't there at the time. She had passed away by then, Grandpa was still in the hospital. I didn't have anyone to talk too except Cara.

"C-cara?"

She was sitting at her desk a book in hand and her glasses on.

"Yea?"

"Can ask you something?"
