Sarah’s POV

“What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?” I pretty much begged myself to tall me the answer. Crap, shit, help. Yes: it was the night of my date with Josh. First date: with Josh.

I have literally tried on every article of clothing I possibly own, or brought with me to England, and still nothing. Ok stop. That doesn’t make sense. I have several outfits all laid out around the room. I just can’t choose one because they are all too awesome.

“Sarah? You in here?” Cass knocked on the door and I sort of panicked, my room was a mess and I didn’t have a decent enough outfit on. I pulled on the nearest dress and cardigan - almost blindly - and opened the door.

“Hey. What’s up?” I asked casually as I leaned against the door frame, trying to obscure her view of my room.

She gave me a weird look then seamlessly dismissed it. “Uh...do you happen to have my black flats?” She tried to look over my shoulder corresponding to the one against the wall, so I swapped sides. “I know that your room is a mess Sarah. But do you have them or not?” She asked rather impatiently.

I stepped back into my room and turned to see which outfit I’d matched her shoes with. They were in the ensuite of course. “Oh, here you go.” I grinned, picking them up and handing them to her.

“Do you have enough clothes?” She asked sarcastically as she looked around the room. “By the way, that’s a nice outfit.”

“Thanks. I like your shorts.” I smirked as I looked at her Sesame Street printed shorts.

“Hey, two things; first, don’t bag the shorts, second, nothing says ‘swag’ more than Sesame Street ok?” She explained. I shrugged and rolled my eyes as she slipped on her shoes. “Oh by the way, your prince is waiting.” She mumbled as she disappeared out the door.

“What? He’s not my-” I was cut off by the forever good looking Josh.

“You ready to go?” He asked intently. I nodded and glanced back at Cass who was now also with Stef, both standing in the hallway, looking evil.

We headed out to the garage and he opened the door to my side of the car. “Why thank you.” I said politely as I slid into my seat. He smiled back and then went around to his side and sat in. “Where are we off to?” I asked curiously.

“Can’t tell, that’d spoil the surprise now wouldn’t it.” He replied as smile playing on his lips. I pouted but he didn’t budge. He started the car and we drove off. We didn’t go very far, and by that time, the sun was just setting.

He stopped on top of a hill. He even opened my door and let me out. The sky was bathed a golden orange and shades of pink and purple. I noticed Josh had disappeared for a moment, then came back with a blanket and proceeded to set it out on the grass right at the top spot of the hill. He sat down on it and gestured for me to sit next to him. I did and then we watched in silence as the sun set and the city lights began to turn on. Soon, it was the only light around.

He slowly clasped my hand in his, and tilted my chin up so that my eyes met his. I thought he was going to start this whole heart to heart speech complete with a whole field of daffodils and roses and then he was going to end with some quoted line form my favourite book; it didn’t happen at all like I planned.

He pulled me down until we were just lying, looking up at the stars. We stayed like that for quite a while, just there, looking at the stars. I vaguely remember getting home and being carried to our room.

Stef’s POV

“Oh, yup. I’m just going for a walk. Be back soon.” Niall explained, grabbing his phone, keys and wallet from the kitchen bench.
