Stef’s POV

“Sarah, calm the fuck down. You haven’t done anything-” I yelled at her.

“I might not have purposely done anything, but my face is all over the country. What am I going to do?” She began procrastinating by tearing the corners of the newspaper.

I gave her a soft slap on the cheek. “Pull yourself together. It is not the end of the world. I can promise you that.”

She gave me a hard look for a moment. Cassie was busy reading the article. “Cass, we need to do something, fast.” I said.

“What do we do?” She asked.

“Sarah, what do we do?” I asked looking from Cassie to Sarah.

“As soon as we’ve had out coffee and tea, we go back to the hotel so I can have a bath, then we watch a movie, then I make us all hot chocolate, then we go to the concert. Ok?” She sorted it all out even though she was the one having the breakdown.

As the waitress came over and placed our drinks on the table she recognised Sarah for the newspaper. “Excuse me, ma’am, are you the girl from the newspaper?” She asked politely.

Sarah nodded.

“Could I uh...please get a photo with you?” She asked nervously.

“Me?” Sarah asked a little surprised. The waitress nodded. “Umm...ok.” The waitress pulled her phone out of her pocket. She took three photos. Then looked over at Cass and I.

“You two are the other two girls mentioned aren’t you?” She asked. Cass nodded.

“We were mentioned in the article?” I looked at Cass. Cass nodded at the girl and her eyes grew wide. She’d just figured out that we’d all met her dream boy band.

“Yeah, we were. But mentioned as single, not in a relationship. So...” Cass trailed off.

“Uh, the drinks are on the house.” The waitress mumbled.

“No. No they’re not. We owe you.” Sarah explained.

“You don’t. Really.” She kept smiling at Sarah.

“I’m going to pay like everyone else. Don’t argue with me.” Sarah declared, standing up. Luckily she had a good height advantage.

“Ok.” The waitress backed off and left us alone.

“Sorry about that.” Sarah mumbled.

“Well that-that was interesting, to say the least.” I exclaimed. We sipped our drinks and then up to pay. Everybody in the cafe was looking at us. The waitress took my money and gave me my change. I glared at her and she backed up and ran out the back to the kitchen.

As we got into the taxi to take us back to the hotel we were quite exhausted. “Jet lag.” Sarah said simply as she read through the whole article on the paper. “It says here that I am a few many things thanks to twitter.” She showed us both and we were both quite surprised by what they had to say about Sarah. “But they know exactly who I am and most likely where I am. Which is scary.” She shuddered at the thought.

The taxi pulled up at the hotel and as I opened the door we were met with about five paparazzi. They began snapping shots of all of us as we rushed to the elevator. The doors closed and we were all catching our breath in there. “I’m not used to it.” Cass said. “I hate it. I’m glad I’m not a celebrity.”

“No, but you are ‘dating’ one.” I said. She nodded and we got out into our hotel room.

“I’m having a bath. You guys wanna choose a movie or something?” Sarah asked as she wandered down the hall.

“What movie do you wanna watch?” I asked, sitting down on the couch turning on the t.v.

“A movie. Is Sarah making us hot chocolate?” Cass replied as she flopped down next to me. “What time’s the concert?”

“I dunno. Is there gonna be an after party?” I asked.

“I doubt it. We’re going tomorrow morning. I think the guys’d wanna be sobered up a bit, you know?” Cass replied.

“Fair point. Mean girls?” I asked. Cassie nodded.

Sarah’s POV

‘I’m on the front cover of that magazine. Shit. That should just as well be global news. Sarah!’ I thought. I grabbed my phone and called her not even caring what the time was.

It rung five times before she picked up. “Hello?” She said sleepily.

“Hey Sarah, I need to tell you something.” I bit my lip while thinking about how to explain it.

“Oh, you mean about the airport.” She said this with a sarcastic/sweet tone. “I know everything.”

“No. You don’t. We were getting off the airplane and all the fans were there and I turned back to find Josh, but he wasn’t there and the next thing I know, someone is holding my hand and pulling me along. I expected it to be Josh, but it wasn’t, it was Niall, and then as we were making our way through the airport, I was pretty much drowned in paps. I’m so sorry. We are not in a relationship. I promise.” I finished.

“Really? I do believe you Sarah, but I’m on the other side of the world at the moment and...you were holding hands with my boyfriend-”

“So he is your boyfriend. I knew it. And I know that you have any and every right not to believe me, but please do. I’m begging you. I wouldn’t do that to you ever.” I pleaded.

“I understand. Now please let me get some sleep. Bye.” And she hung up on me.

I put my phone down and closed my eyes. I had been in this foreign country for just over twenty four hours and already my face was on the front cover of their newspaper.

I got out and got out and got dressed. As I went down the hallway, I heard the two of them whispering. Maybe not intentional whispering, but it wasn’t normal conversation volume.

“No. We couldn’t. We already owe her. So we gotta be alert at any time of the day.”

“But she’s had like two weeks and not done anything.”

“Yet.”

I walked in at that moment, drying my hair. “What movie are we watching?” I asked.

“Uh...Mean girls.” Stef looked up and I could see just by the way she looked at me, there was something she wasn’t telling me. I nodded and asked if either of them wanted a hot chocolate. They both nodded and I set out to find the stuff.

“I can’t find the mugs anywhere.” I groaned shutting the next set of cupboards. I opened the floor to ceiling pantry this time and I began moving everything out of the way to see behind. I heard something shut but considering that my company was Stef and Cassie (love you guys!) I wasn’t too worried. I stood up straight and as I closed to pantry door he was standing right there. “Oh my gosh.” I breathed, laughing.

“Looking for these?” He handed me three mugs.

“Yeah, thanks.”
