Cassie’s POV

Stef and Sarah came back in sitting down without acknowledging each other; Sarah looking flustered, Stef slightly grumpy.

Lunch ended shortly after leaving us all to our own wanderings. I decided (much against my gut feeling) to investigate what had been happening with Stef and Sarah. And of course that all started with Louis. He played a part in this some how or another.

But seeing as I wanted to ask, the boys had an interview to attend to. Which of course we weren’t invited along to. On the plus side it was going to be a live interview meaning we could listen to it as it happened.

“And here; in the studio we have the very own One Direction. That’s right, you heard it here first: the boys are back in London as they have been for the last month and a half if you didn’t already know.” The radio host explained.

“Hello, we’re One Direction.” They all said together. I turned up the radio as the t.v. was also on.

“Now, we’ve rounded up a few questions from twitter that some fans would like to ask you. Question one: how many of you have girlfriends?” He asked.

By now, the whole living room was quiet and the t.v. had been turned off as we listened in intently. “Well-” Louis began.

“Does that mean that the five most eligible boys in the northern hemisphere are all taken?” The host asked interrupting Louis.

“No. Harry’s single and Niall’s got a date Sunday night.” Zayn explained.

“So then who’s taken you three?” The host asked.

“I got a question for you. Does this go into the other questions?” Liam asked.

“Umm, no. But seeing as Liam, Louis and Zayn apparently have girlfriends, which of whom I bet are listening. So please enlighten us about them.” The host pretty much provoked.

“Well we actually met them all while touring Australia, and they’re currently staying with us here in London.” Louis explained. “Stef’s sweet, funny and she just lightens the mood.”

“What about you Liam?”

“Well since we’ve been in Melbourne I’ve met a girl called Maryanne and she is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. We’ve been on a few dates and she’s loud but mature.” Liam told.

“Isn’t that sweet.” The host commented, almost sarcastically. “And Zayn, what about you? Who’s your girl?”

I could almost hear him smile as he spoke. “Cass. We could just sit and talk and I can be myself with her; she knows me and I know her. She’s smart and funny and it’s hard not to like her.”

“What about Niall’s date? Who’s she?” The host asked keenly. “And is it the same ‘Princess’ from the Manchester concert?”

“Yeah. It’s the same Princess. She’s beautiful and smart and mature. I’m lucky she even said yes.” Niall explained.

“Yes, but does she have a name?” The host asked.

“Can we agree that her name means ‘Princess’?” Niall bargained.

“Fair enough. Now we’ll throw out the line: does anyone have any questions they would like to ask the boys?” The host asked. ‘Pop a bottle’ by Jessica Mauboy started playing and I turned to see what everyone else was doing.

Izzy, Maryanne and Wardy were on the couch, Josh was in the kitchen making a sandwich even though we’d just had lunch and Sarah was playing chess by herself.

“Sarah, why are you playing chess by yourself?” I asked.

“Because the best play against themselves. But who am I kidding, I can’t play for shits.” She explained, not even looking up form the chess board.

I rolled my eyes. For all I knew she’d probably beat me hands down.

Stef’s POV

While they were all downstairs listening to the radio interview, I’d left the room and found my phone. No I was not being anti social, I was going to call the radio station and see if I could get through and ask them something I’d been wondering about for a while now.

As much as I wanted to know what Sarah wouldn’t tell me, if I could ask one distinctive question, I might be able to get an answer. As I dialed the number, pressing the phone to my ear, knowing that my chances of getting through were slim to none, it began to ring. Then somebody picked up, I swear I could taste my lunch.

“Who have we got here?” A lady asked. I was slightly confused and otherwise relieved.

“Umm, St-Emma. My name is Emma.” I faked, knowing that if there was any recognition (besides my voice) I knew that they’d know it was me.

“Well Emma, I’m going to put you through now, and once you’ve asked your question, they’ll hang up when they’re ready.” The lady instructed.

Ok I could taste my lunch again.

“Now, here on the line we have Emma. Emma, what’s your question for the boys?” The host asked.

“Umm, your starting another tour in a few weeks, are your girlfriend’s going with you, and what are you doing to celebrate a new tour?” I asked. As soon as the words left my mouth they sounded wrong.

“Well, we’ve got our north American tour on, and no, sorry, the girls aren’t coming with us, but, ah it’s Louis’ girlfriend’s birthday the week before we leave so we’ll be celebrating that to a extent.” Zayn summed up.

Wait, so did that mean that what they were keeping hushed had something to do with my birthday?

“Emma? Emma, are you still there?” The host asked.

“Yeah. I’m still here.” I said, upon my realisation.

“Cool, well thanks for calling.” The host then hung up on me.

I sort of just stood there, clutching my phone, smiling. If there was some sort of surprise it would be awesome, but I’d want it to be something sweet as well.

Sarah’s POV

When the boys got back, which was relatively late, we decided to have a movie night (because we haven’t had enough of them*(*note the sarcasm)). We ordered Chinese - typical - then debated over which Harry Potter movie to watch, we watched number four.

After making heaps of popcorn and decidedly a hot chocolate for everyone, I sat down on the rug as everyone else had taken the seats. But I wasn’t complaining.

My favourite part of that whole movie is when Hermione punches Draco in the nose. So I cheered and then everybody sort of looked at me. “What?” I asked. “It just proves girl power.” I explained. I saw everyone roll their eyes and I just smiled, there was no point in arguing with each other.

Well, the movie was over and it was really late, like eleven thirty...well it’s late for me. And as I was about go to my room, Wardy tugged my sleeve. “Hmm?” I asked as she pulled me aside.

“Am I allowed to sleep on the couch?” She asked quietly. I looked at her cautiously and then realised that her bags were still in the corner of the room and she had no proper bed.

I held my breath as I thought about it. “Of course, we could always compromise.” I suggested but she just shrugged and I went and got some blankets for her and Izzy. Then I remembered that out the back of the recording studio there was a spare room. I immediately brought it up with the others and they agreed that we could put some sleeping bags in there and the two could stay there.

But I saw the way that Wardy and Niall looked at each other. Actually more the way he looked at her. The sweet way where you kinda get butterflies and then as she met his gaze she was blushing - like she does.
