Sarah’s POV
I felt myself blush. First of all, I had fallen asleep with Josh at the beach, my cheeks were freezing but I could still feel moisture from when I had been crying, I blushed when I realised that I was in my pj’s and then I would have to get home.
“Sorry.” I said more to Josh than the others.
“No problem.” He said, wiping the tear from my cheek. “Now, we need to get home and have something to eat.” He began to walk back down the board walk, with me trailing behind.
Once we were out of earshot of the others, he looked over at me, and took my hand. “Sarah. Your hands are freezing.” He grabbed the other one as well, as we crossed the road.
“It’s not that bad.” I commented as we continued down to the corner.
“Can you even feel your hands? I’m really sorry for making you stay out at the beach all night.” He apologized.
“Don’t be sorry. If anything I should be saying sorry, and thank you.” I murmured.
“What? Thank you? For what?”
“Thank you for letting me tell you about everything and my dreams and nightmares. Thank you.” I replied hugging him. He was tense for a second, then he relaxed in my arms and he proceeded to wrap his arms around me.
“Hey. You wanna do something fun?” He asked looking at me cheekily.
“Umm...ok.” Then he gave me a piggy back the rest of the way home. I squealed and screamed. We were such children sometimes.
When we got back, I had a shower and slowly ate breakfast. I was still pretty upset about everything that I’d said. “Sorry about what happened last night.” I stammered.
Josh, who was sitting opposite me at the table, looked up from his cereal. “Why? It was a dream.”
“What if it wasn’t? I-I, couldn’t...l-live without-never mind.” I rushed, chugging my milk and depositing my dishes in the sink.
“What? Sarah! What were you going to say?” Josh asked me annoyed. “And it was a ‘what if’, so it most likely won’t happen.”
I opened my mouth to argue when I had an epiphany. My eyes watered. “No. I know what it was about. My dream that is. I-I’m going out.” I opened the back door and ran out.
Him drowning was how I felt for him. Right on the edge of life. His very being was in my choice of heart. If I actually said no to him, he’d be the drowning image of hopelessness. But I could always be over thinking things, again.
Cassie’s POV
“Louis, pass it to me!” I cried as Louis threw me the frisbee. I tossed it back, he caught it easily.
“Stef!” I called to her, she was lying on her towel, trying to improve her tan. “Come and play with us!”
“No. I’m tanning.” She replied.
I rolled my eyes and went over to her. “Please? The more the merrier.” I begged.
“No.” She laughed. “Get Zayn to play.” I looked three towels over. He was lying there, sunglasses on, hands behind his head, looking like he hadn’t a care in the world. He was also tanning.
So I went and stood over him. “Hey. Play with us.” I tugged his arm. He looked up at me.
“Why?” He asked.
“Because I want you to! Please?” I pulled harder on his arm this time.
He rolled over and pushed his glasses down his nose. He looked really hot. Zayn looked at me questionably for a moment. “Fine.” He agreed. He stood up and followed me up the beach.
“Oi! Over here!” Niall called. Louis threw it and it went in Sarah W.’s direction. Of course, Niall and Sarah (W.) were standing less than five meters apart from each other, so when it went straight for Sarah, she was ready to pounce, then Niall jumped right in her way, missed the frisbee and pretty much pushed Sarah over.
So Niall was on top of Sarah W. It was ridiculously funny. “Sorry.” Niall grinned.
Sarah W. was just about in tears, she was laughing so hard. “It’s fine.” She giggled. Niall got off her and pulled her up. They had a moment. Everything paused. Niall was holding her hand, she was holding his, their eyes were connected. “Thanks.” Sarah W. whispered.
Stef’ POV
The sun was really warm. “Heads!” Somebody called. I wasn’t expecting it to hit me. I was lying down too!
“What was that for?” I scolded, rubbing my head as I sat up and glared at them. They were all laughing.
“Accident.” Louis called, jogging over and picking the frisbee up. I rolled my eyes at him as he passed me. He just smiled back at me.
I laid back down and thought about the past week. I knew these boys for about five days, and already I was head over heels about one of them. But he was the sweetest, cutest most lovely guy I had ever met. He was funny and always smiling, he made me laugh and was always happy.
And Cassie with Zayn. They were so close and they just knew, they were sweet and kind and soft. They were both patient with each other, knew each in it’s own, strengths and weaknesses, hopes and fears, dreams and nightmares. Even if they didn’t say it, they knew.
Liam and Maryanne. Told each other everything. They were funny and carefree not caring about tomorrow, just living the moment as it was. And they had nothing to worry about, they just were, together. No matter what. They knew it.
Sarah and Josh were so playful. The friendly couple. They did like each other no matter how much they said no to themselves, we could all see that they were yin and yang. Everything one didn’t have, the other did. When one was mad, the other made them laugh. They were there for each other like nothing else, but they kept putting it off.
Niall and Sarah were so cute together, whether they were a couple or not. Both funny and sweet. Total cuties and completely perfect. I reckon they both knew that they had something for each other, but were trying to keep a secret. To bad. I knew. I think we all did.
