Cassie’s POV
Sunday 9:15am
Sarah W(yes, I have two friends named Sarah) and Izzy arrived just after nine. They knew the base line of what happened. Sarah B(from now on known only as Sarah( Sarah W (from now on only known as Wardy)) was cooking bacon and eggs. Oh yeah, she lost the bet. Cooking breakfast for us for two weeks.
“Good morning.” I yawned, sitting at the table, all set up with a vase of flowers and table runner.
“Morning. Stef!” Sarah called, placing my plate down in front of me. I had two fried eggs and two pieces of bacon. It made a smiley face.
“Hey, Sarah(W).” I called. Sarah W, got up and walked over to me from the living room.
“What?” She asked.
“What does this look like?” I asked, pointing to my food.
“Food.” She replied, grabbing a piece of my bacon and running back over to the confines of the couch.
“Hey! Sarah! Sarah(W) took my bacon.” I whinged.
“Calm down.” Sarah said, acting all motherly. “There’s plenty more bacon.” She dished me another one, also placing her’s and Stef’s breakfast on the table. “Stef! Your food’s getting cold, and I’m gonna eat it.” Sarah teased.
“Don’t you dare. Sarah and Izzy are already here yeah?” Stef asked.
“Yup.” I called back. Stef jogged down the stairs, in her tracksuit, glanced over at the table and said;
“I’m going for a run. I’ll be twenty minutes at the most. Don’t eat my food.” And just as she opened the door to run out there was an ‘Oof!’ sound. “Maryanne!” Stef called, getting up from the floor. “Sorry, don’t mean to rush, but I’m going for a run.” And Stef ran out.
“Hey, hey! Are they here yet? Have they been here yet? Did they leave and you didn’t tell me! I bet you didn’t even meet them!” Maryanne was being a overdramatic.
“We met them ok? They’re coming over at ten o’clock and shit.” I explained best I could.
“Ten o’clock! But that’s like a whole forty minutes away! I won’t live that long!” She dramatised.
“Get a grip, you hypochondriac.” Sarah commanded, cleaning up the kitchen.
“Have you even met them?” Maryanne confronted her.
“Yeah. Yesterday.” Sarah replied casually.
“Guys, the t.v. remote’s broken, and it isn’t stuck on the Disney channel.” Sarah W whined in her sing-song voice. I stood up, walked over, took the remote from her hands, whacked it against the side of the couch and changed channel. “Thanks.” She said.
I rolled my eyes and sat down. “Sarah, you need some help?” I offered.
“Nah. Actually, wipe down the table for me.” She threw me the cloth, and I missed the catch.
“How did you miss that?” Maryanne laughed.
I shrugged, picking it up off the floor, and beginning to wipe down the table.
“I gotta get dressed.” Sarah mentioned, before running up stairs. I didn’t even notice that she was still in her pajamas, but if it mattered to her...it must have been important.
***
Stef got back at quarter to ten and went up for a shower, Sarah was still choosing clothes, and Maryanne, Sarah and Izzy were watching animal planet.
