Sarah’s POV

When Stef and Louis got back, they were both really tired and I couldn’t help but be the tiniest little bit jealous; Josh and I had only gone to dinner...not that I’d change that for the world but they looked like they had a great time, not that we didn’t, but it was a different concept.

It was a quiet night followed a late morning. Stef had decided that us two were going out for breakfast around eight, even though that kind of made it brunch. But she wasn’t listening, she was just trying to get me to tell her what I knew, but my lips were sealed.

Cassie’s POV

I woke up because somebody was knocking at the door. I sleepy-eyed opened the door and there was Wardy, looking rather desperate. “Niall’s taking me out and I don’t know what to wear and Sarah and Stef aren’t here and Izzy’s out for a job interview. Help. I don’t know what to wear.” She whined.

I sighed. “So you had to wake me up?” I asked, not even processing what she’d said. Wait, since when did Stef and Sarah go out, because like, Stef hates shopping and...oh, wait, she just wants to know that completely out there thing that no one knows about.

She nodded and dragged me out then into the back room. All her clothes were ‘neatly’ placed around the room.

“I thought you were a tidy person.” I stated as I looked through all her stuff.

“Well think again.” She replied as she began to go through her dresses and tops and jeans.

I rubbed my eyes. “Can’t you just choose your own outfits? I’m tired.” I yawned.

“But this is the date!” She stated, standing up on her bed, looking down on me with wide eyes. “I can’t mess this up. It all matters, right down to what I wear.”

I scrunched my face up in confusion and sat on the only chair vacant of clothes. Wardy groaned and rolled her eyes. “It’s a Sarah thing.” She mumbled. “But please help me. I’m begging you.”

“Okay, okay. So it’s lunch right?” I asked.

Stef and Sarah were back just as Niall and Wardy were leaving. Wardy had chosen to were a yellow dress with black and pink flower embellishments, even after I suggested numerous other outfits.

Wardy pretty much strangled and hugged Sarah and Stef as they walked in the door. “You left me with Cass to help me choose a date outfit! I can’t believe you two!” She shrieked.

“Have a good lunch.” Sarah wished as Wardy followed Niall out the door, glaring cheekily at Stef and Sarah, she could never really be mad at them.

Wardy’s POV

As soon as we had left to house, I thought Niall might drive us to some nice place like a restaurant and it’d be all fancy, but instead, he held out his hand to me, I took it in turn, and we began walking down the street. I didn’t say anything at first as I speculated some sort of cool mode of transportation. But we continued to walk the three blocks down past the local school and small section of shops. He turned down one of the paths leading into the national park and I began to realise where he was taking us.

“I thought you might like something a bit more casual?” The way he said it made it sound like a question.

“It’s lovely.” I sighed.

Again, there was surprise (which as much as I dislike them, this was lovely), there was a picnic blanket with sandwiches and champagne with glasses and cupcakes. This was just too cute for words.

“Is lovely the right word?” He asked, slightly tightening his grip on my hand. I just shook my head as we walked up the hill and then sat down on the picnic blanket. In the picnic basket there were strawberries and chocolate. Of course the cliche thing happened: we fed each other strawberries. As Niall held one up, his elbow slipped he pulled me down with him. I started laughing like a lunatic as I held myself up over him. Then I stopped and we sort of...had a moment; we just looked at each other. I leaned down, he moved up and...we kissed.

As we were walking back, somebody across the street looked (and sounded) familiar. I knew that it would be rude of me to call her out, so I waited until we overtook her. Then I realised that I knew one hundred percent who it was.

“Amelia?” I shouted. She looked up and her smile grew.

“Sarah!” She replied and she rushed across the road and began to walk with us. “How have you been? I’ve got my own place and everything.” Then her phone rang. “Oh. Sorry, I have to take this.” But when she answered it, her face fell.
