You're Different (Chapter 6)

{Gaby's P.O.V}

Just as I closed my eyes, my phone rang. I looked at it & saw that it was Brian. Oh yeah, he was supposed to call me. "Hellooooo?" I answered with a cheerful voice. "Hey. How are you?" he replied. Oh gosh....his accent is just so adorable. It squeaks a bit but it's a part of puberty. "I'm good," I replied.

"So how was your day with Demi?"

"Fine. It was really fun,"

"So....watcha doin?"

"*giggles* Sitting on my bed, breathing, blinking & talking to you,"

"Really? I'm doing the exact same thing!"

"OMG! No way! Virtual High-Five!"

"*laughs*"

"I like your laugh"

"Really? I laugh like a horse,"

"*laughs*"

"Now that is a cute laugh,"

"Aw shucks,"

"Are you free on Friday? Do you wanna hang out some time?"

OMG! Is he asking me out? No. Freaking. Way!

"Sure! I'd love too,"

"Shit!"

"Well, that wasn't the reaction I was expecting,"

"No, it's my brother. He brought his girlfriend over. It's gonna be noisy tonight. Lots of screaming!"

Oh. My. Gosh!

"Are you serious?"

"Would I lie about such a thing?"

"I dunno. I just met you,"

"*laughs* Listen, I'll call you tommorow, alright? It's starting to get quite loud and..."

"Alright! Alright! I didn't ask for details. *laughs* Goodnight,"

I hung up & fell asleep with a smile. That was the best conversation I ever had, even though it was really short. Just as I was about to off the lights, I heard a voice, "Gaby?" "Wh-Who's there?" I asked.

"It's meeeee,"

"'Meeeee' who, smartass?"

"Well that was polite," I heard Demi laugh.

"Demi?! Seriously?" I laughed. "So who were you talking to just now?" she asked. "Um...Brian. The guy I met today," I smiled. "Ooooooohhh!" she smiled. "Stooooppp," I blushed. She just laughed, "Goodnight," "Goodnight," I replied.

I clutched my plush puppy near my chest...again & fell asleep
