You're Different (Chapter 10)

{Gaby's P.O.V}

It's 8:30! Just One & a half more hours until Brian picks me up from the park! What in the world should I wear? I looked into my closet. This would be a good time to borrow Demi's clothes.

I put on a purple top with black skinny jeans along with my leather jacket & studded booties. I have a thing for studs.

I looked at the clock & saw that it was already 9! I only have an hour to do my hair & make up! I tied my hair up into a pony tail. I put on some concealer & a nude coloured lip stick. I looked at the clock it was already 9:15. I went to the bathroom because I always have an urge to pee whenever I'm nervous.

I grabbed a white sling bag. I put my phone, wallet & umbrella into my bag. I know what I'm wearing isn't what a normal girl would wear for a normal day like this but I'm not normal. Normal is boring.

9:30! Oh crap! I gotta go now! It's a fifteen minute walk to the park. I knocked on Demi's room & opened the door. She was sitting on the bed, watching TV. "Dem, I'm leaving now," I said as I leaned on her door.

"This early?" she asked. I nodded back. "Well. Have fun. Cute outfit by the way," she smiled. "Hehe. Thanks," I replied before I left.

I played F*****' Perfect by P!nk on repeat on my walk to the park. I also walk fast when I'm nervous or anxious so I made it there in 8 minutes.

When I reached the park, I saw Brian sitting on a park bench, listening to music. He was wearing a blue & black checkered flannel with jeans & Supra sneakers. Oh gosh! He looks so cute.

I kept my earpiece in my bag & slowly walked up to him. "Hey Brian," I smiled & waved as I approached him. "Oh Gaby! Hi!" he replied. OMG! His voice is soooo cute! I melt everytime I hear it. He put his headphones on his neck & kept his phone in his pocket. "You look great," he smiled.

"Me? You're kidding! You're the one that looks cute!" I replied. Wait! DID I SAY OUT LOUD?! OMG I DID! OH GOSH...WHAT NOW??

"Oh really? I never noticed!" he joked. I just laughed. "So, do wanna go for a walk?" he asked. I smiled & nodded. We joked & laughed as we walked. We also learned alot about each other.

Around 30 minutes later, we heard a loud noise. "What the f*** was that?" Brian exclaimed. Oh gosh he sounds so cute when he cursed! Just then, we heard that noise again. "Where is is it coming from?" he asked. "My belly. I didn't eat breakfast," I smiled.

"Oh. Why not?" he asked. "I...I was in a rush," I replied. "Well, there's a hotdog vendor over there. Do you want one?" he asked. I nodded my head.

"One hotdog please," Brian ordered. I opened my bag & took out my wallet. "What do you think you're doing?" Brian asked. "Taking out $3:30," I replied. "Oh no you're not. Put that back," he said as he paid the hotdog vendor. "Thanks. That was really sweet," I smiled. "You're welcome," Brian smiled.

{Brian's P.O.V}

I just bought Gaby a hotdog. All the girls I've seen hate eating hotdog because it'll make them fat but not Gaby. She's different.

Gaby took one big bite of the hotdog. "Do you want some?" she asked. "I would but you already took a bite," I laughed. "You can try it from the other end," she smiled with a bit of musturd on her lip. "Sure but you have to bite it too," I smiled. "What?" She questioned. "I mean it," I smiled.

She laughed & we both took a bite. While we were sinking our teeth into the meat, our lips touched for a brief moment. We did pull away immediately. We let our lips touch for a while before pulling away.

"Well..." I said, "that was..." "Awkward?" Gaby interrupted. I nodded in response. We just sat in silence for couple of seconds before laughing about it.

"So how's life?" She asked. "I....uh....life's great. Everything's great," I smiled. "Are you sure" she asked, her smile slowly fanishing. "Yes," I replied. "Don't lie to me,"  she said with a serious face.

"What makes you think I'm lying?" I asked. "Your scars" she replied
