Chapter 4: Crystal Blue Eyes
"Mommy, are we there-"
"Yes. We're here." mom answered, clearly annoyed.
"Well, that was rude of you to cut me off..." I mumbled.
She got out of the car as so did I.
I stared in awe at the new cream colored house.
I immediately asked mom, "Where's the pool?"
She pointed to the back causing me to run there.
I saw this huge pool. There was also a kiddie pool but I always pretend to be a grown-up.
I took off my shirt and jumped into the adult pool.
Now, I've recently been taking swimming lessons so I did, in fact, know how to swim.
I started doggy paddling to the 5 feet portion of the pool. Then I started to get tired, so I simply threaded.
That's right, I know how to thread.
"Hey kid!" a voice yelled.
I turned around and saw an eye, peeking out of the hole on the white fence.
I got out of the pool and dashed over to the voice. "Hello." I said back.
The only thing I could see was that person's eye but judging by that eye, that person's pretty.
Those eyes were like, crystal blue.
Wow, this would be so awkward if I'm gawking over what happens to be a boy...
"My name's Robin." she said.
I shot her a puzzled look. "Isn't Robin a boy's name?" I asked.
"No!" she yelled.
I chucked. "Nope, I'm pretty sure it's a guy's name." I said, cockily.
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yeah-uh!"
"You're so annoying! What's your name, kid?"
"Jarrett."
"Well, it was nice meeting you, Jar Head."
It took me a minute or two to realize what just happened but when I did, I yelled, "It's Jarrett! Not Jar... Jar... Jar something!"
Yes, I had forgotten what she called me. I'm that forgetful.
