Chapter 7: School Plans
"Are you going to school in Lincoln Bay High too?" asked Robin as we strolled through Central Park.
I shook my head. "No. Mom said she might just homeschool me."
"Why?"
"Because I'm too lazy to go to a new school, make an effort to get friends, and get tortured by teachers." I answered matter-of-factly.
She put her hands on my shoulders and spun me around to face her.
"You have to go to Lincoln Bay High." she said as she made a serious face.
I chuckled. "Your face looks funny!" I laughed as I pointed to her face.
She rolled her eyes and repeated, "You have to go to Lincoln Bay High."
"Why?"
"Because I'm going there."
I blushed up like a red tomato. Did she like me?
Of course not, idiot! Why would someone so cool like Robin like someone like me?
Woah, I said "like" a lot in that sentence!
"Okay, I'll ask mom." I told her.
She let me go and smiled.
"Good. Now there's only one thing left to take care off." she said with a smirk plastered on her face.
"And what's that?" I asked.
"Race you to the red swing set!" she yelled.
Then she took off sprinting.
"Hey, no fair!" I yelled as I ran after her.
And lemme tell you this, she runs pretty fast for a girl.
