Chapter 53: All That Matters Is Time
"Stop the car!" I yelled.
Jane stopped the car.
I opened the door and got out of the car. I raced across the street and turned into my block.
I caught a view of my neighbor, Elise's house.
Then I thought how I've never really met her... You know one of those people who you've never met but just know all of a sudden? Well Elise is my person.
So anyway, I caught a glimpse of my house so that means I'm near Robin's house. I ran faster to Robin's house.
I swung the door open and raced in, not hearing whatever shit Robin's parents were yelling.
I grabbed the handle of the door that leads to their backyard.
And... I was just in time.
