Chapter 18: Breakfast...?
"What do you want for breakfast?" asked Robin as she leaned against the kitchen counter.
"Mmm... I don't know... Do you have any Snicker bars?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
"Really? Snicker bars for breakfast?"
"Why not?"
"Here, stupid." she said before tossing me an oatmeal bar.
"Yuck!" I exclaimed, wrinkling my nose and sticking my tongue out.
"Suck it up, dude." she said, laughing.
"What're you having, Robs?"
"I'm having egg and bacon!"
"Okay, where is it?"
"I'm gonna make it myself."
"You can't cook."
"Um, yeah, I can."
I chuckled. "Sure, you can," I said, sarcastically.
She crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out. "I can, stupid."
"Prove it then."
"I can't because mommy said she has to be here whenever I cook."
"Ha ha, excuses excuses!" I mocked Robin.
"Hmph! Just for that, I'm not talking to you ever again!" she growled.
I rolled my eyes, laughing. "Yeah right! If there's one thing I know about my best friend, is she can't keep her promises."
"That wasn't a promise."
"See? You just talked to me!"
"I- Shut up!"
Then she stormed off.
"Robin, wait!" I said, trying to sound concerned instead of entertained.
I followed her to her room.
I slowly opened her door. She wasn't there.
I paced around her room for a minute. "Where could she be?" I asked myself.
"Boo!" screamed a voice from behind me. She tackled me, leaving me on the floor. "Scared you, didn't I?"
"Well, Robin, there's scared, and there's surprised."
"And you were both!" Then she broke down, laughing.
"Shut up, stupid." I growled, crossing my arms.
She rolled on the floor, laughing and clutching her stomach.
I couldn't help it. I laughed too.
