Chapter 40: Break Down
"I'm staying over Mrs. P!" yelled Robin from my room.
"Sure thing sweetheart!" yelled back mom from downstairs.
Robin turned to me and smiled, "Can you believe how much your mom likes me?"
"I really can't." I joked.
She smacked my chest and said, "Oh shut up, Jar Head."
She got off my bed, holding her phone, and walked over to my drawer.
(Probably gonna leave it there while we binge watch How I Met Your Mother)
On her way, she accidentally dropped her phone. She leaned down to reach it and I had a front row seat to an amazing view of her ass.
I got up from my bed and immediately stood behind her.
Shocked, she stood up, causing some friction against my "manhood".
I moaned.
She blushed uncontrollably and yelled, "What the hell's wrong with you?!"
She ran over to my bathroom and slammed the door shut.
Eh. Still worth it. I thought.
I knocked on the door. "Open up, Robin!" I yelled.
"No!"
"Come on, please?" I begged.
She didn't respond. Then, I heard a sniffle. She was silently crying.
I suddenly remembered a had a key for the bathroom.
I stuck it in and opened the door.
I found Robin curled in the corner, holding her knees to her chest, wiping away tears quickly.
I sat down next to her and placed my arm over her shoulder.
"Hey, it's okay to cry." I said. "What's wrong?"
She hesitated to answer. Then she looked up at me with puffy eyes and said, "Nothing. I'm fine."
I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and said, "No, you're not. Tell me what's wrong."
She stood up.
"I don't wanna talk about it! Gosh, can't you just respect my privacy?!" she yelled, her voice breaking.
Them suddenly, she broke down. She fell to the floor, wiping away tears that were falling fast.
I stood up and lifted her up. I slowly and gently placed her on my bed. I sat down next to her.
"Tell." I commanded.
"Fine." she sighed.
She took a deep breath. "It all started last week. As you know, I've been dating Bryan for a year now."
Oh gosh. I really didn't want to talk about that bitch who stole my girl.
"What did he do?!" immediately came out. I think it was out of jealousy and anger.
"Just let me finish." she said firmly. "I was going to his house to surprise him and when I opened the door, I saw him. Kissing a girl. Who happens to be my best friend, Lacey."
"What?!" I reacted.
"Then... I just got tired of everything... How my boyfriend cheated on me... how I was stabbed in the back by one of my best friends..."
Tears filled her eyes. So I embraced her into a hug.
"I just need you to be here." she whispered softly.
"Don't worry," I whispered back into her ear. "I'm still here."
She pulled away and looked into my eyes as I looked back at her not-so-clear eyes. (because of crying)
"Are you mad at me for making you somehow grind me?" I asked.
She half smiled. "No... I understand the temptation." she giggled.
"Nice ass, by the way."
She laughed. "Perv." she joked, friendly smacking my arm.

I had pulled out the floor bed for Robin to sleep on. I gave her a pillow and a blanket.
"Goodnight Robin." I said as I tucked myself under the covers.
"Night." she responded.
I hadn't noticed that it started to rain outside. It was so dark, you could hardly tell.
I almost fell asleep until I heard a loud crash of thunder.
I honestly wasn't afraid of thunder but... It did scare Robin.
She sat straight up. Her hands were slightly shaking but she ignored it and laid back down.
I heard another clap if thunder. It only made Robin jump slightly this time.
I have had enough. I stood up and lay down next to Robin. I wrapped my arms around her waist and leaned my chest against her back.
She felt my breath on her neck as she fell asleep to my words, "I'll protect you, Robin. I'm here."
