You and Michael's dog had been acting strange for a few days before you finally told Michael that you had to take him to the vet. He agreed and decided to tag along. As you walked inside, you grabbed a clipboard and sat down next to Michael to fill out the information. Michael had been keeping your guys' dog under control by petting him. He always got excited around other animals.
"How old would you say Y/P/N is?" You asked Michael.
He thought for a minute, "Maybe two or three years." You continued to fill out the information and returned the clip board to the receptionist and she told you it would be a few minutes. Returning to your seat, you saw Michael staring at an old lady with a box of kittens. Playfully rolling your eyes, you took the leash from Michael so he could go hold them.
"May I hold one of your kittens?" You heard him ask.
Giggling to yourself, you watched your 20 year old 'supposed-to-be-punk-rock' boyfriend play with kittens.
"Aw, am I not giving you enough attention? Come here and let me love you."
Michael picked up an all black kitten and held it while the others crawled on him. The old lady looked at you, "How old is he?"
You laughed, "Mentally? 12. Physically? 20."
"He sure does not look like the type to be playing with kittens."
"He's just full of surprises." You couldn't help but smile at the sight of Michael, your wonderful boyfriend, talking to kittens. You were interrupted by the vet calling your pets name. Michael sadly returned the kittens and walked with you to a room. The vet put your dog on the weight machine and the number kept rising until it finally stopped at 111 pounds.
"What happens to be the problem?" The vet asked while writing down the weight.
You sighed, "He's been shaking his head a lot and we're thinking it may be ear mites."
Y/P/N lied down, panting from the hot room. You were sweating yourself, same as Michael.
"I'm going to swab his ears and we'll go look at it under the microscope."
You nodded and had to hold down Y/P/N so he wouldn't hurt the vet or run away. You felt so bad for him.
Once the vet got what he needed, he left the room to go test for ear mites. Michael was messing around with stuff as you were sitting on the ground with your dog.
"He looks miserable," Michael sat down next to you, petting Y/P/N.
You pouted, "I know."
What felt like hours, the vet came back and told you the news.
"First things first, Y/P/N is very obese. We suggest putting him on a diet and exercising him."
Michael scratched his the back of his neck, "But..he'll starve. I'll feel so bad."
The vet put his clipboard down, "Sir, it'll lead to health problems. I highly suggest giving him a cup and a half of healthy dog food twice a day. No food scraps. Also, take him on walks; starting short and eventually to longer walks."
Michael and you both nodded, you knowing damn well Michael will throw Y/P/N his leftover food, or food he doesn't like, anyway.
"Also, your dog does not have ear mites. It's a yeast infection. We'll give you a prescription for that up front. It may take a few minutes and we apologize. It has been a very busy day."
Michael smiled, "It's okay. Thank you."
Michael decided to go outside with Y/P/N and take him to go to the bathroom. You stayed inside to pay for the medicine.
After waiting and paying, you met Michael outside.
"So, it looks like Y/P/N will be hating us for a while," Michael laughed, kneeling down to play with Y/P/N, "Won't you buddy? Yeah, you'll be one cranky ass doggie."
You couldn't help but laugh, agreeing with Michael. But little did he know, he'll be the one taking Y/P/N on walks.

Okay so I know this one is shit and I apologize. But I took my German Shepherd to the vet the other day and he really weighed 111 pounds. They told me he is highly obese and that he needs to go on a diet. I felt like I have been starving him so I gave him my slice of pizza...
Anyways, if you have any requests please don't be afraid to ask!
