Imagine: You're popular, he's the nerd & he asks you to prom/Luke Hemmings.

(Your P.O.V.)
It was a few days before my senior prom and nobody has yet to ask me to be their date. I was beginning to think that I was going to just stay at home and watch sitcoms all night long while my friends were out having fun. I was really kind of hoping that my boyfriend would ask me but he ended up asking his ex-girlfriend that he had been cheating on me with. He's now my ex-boyfriend. I'm not that sad about it though; I kind of expected it. You see, I'm considered one of the most popular girl in school but I hate the whole 'stereotypical' generalization. I'm nothing like my 'friends'. They can be so rude to others but I'm the one who likes to be nice to everybody but I can only do so much before my friends get mad at me for being 'too nice to the less fortunate.'

Anyways, I was walking to my locker during class because I forgot to grab my textbook when all of a sudden, I hear my name being called.

"Y/N, wait up." A nasally voice called out. I came to a halt and turned around to find a boy quite taller than me. He was wearing large round glasses, his blonde hair was slicked back, and his skin looked very soft and smooth. He was dressed very nicely, a white short-sleeved Oxford shirt tucked into a pair of high-water pants, while his white socks were visible. I did notice that he was wearing converse.

I gave him a warm smile, "Hey..." my voice trailed off because I didn't really know his name. His shoulders slumped down in embarrassment, "Oh, sorry. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Luke Hemmings." Luke held his hand out and I gladly shook it.

"Hi Luke, I'm Y/N," I tried to make my voice sound as nicely as possible. I didn't want Luke too be scared that just because I'm popular didn't mean he couldn't talk to me. I was just having a crappy day.

"Yeah, we have a few classes together."

Did we really? How come I never noticed him before? Maybe because you're too busy with your popular friends to notice him, I answered my own question. I opened my mouth to speak but no words would come out. I was making a fool of myself. It's really no wonder people like Luke don't care for people like me and my friends. He just shrugged his shoulders, "It's not a big deal. I have a question though."

I furrowed my eyebrows together and he took my silence as his queue to go on. Luke was twiddling with his fingers and stuttered, "Well, I..I was w-wondering if s-s-somebody had asked you t-to prom but I realized y-you probably already have a d-d-date. I just w-wanted to ask anyway..." He stopped. I could tell just how nervous he was by the way he looked down at the floor and was shaking a bit. It was cute though. Luke made eye contact with me, "Would y-you go to the p-prom w-with m-me?"

I shook my head, blushing, "Of course, Luke. I'd love to go to prom with you."

He looked defeated, "I promise you that I'll clean up and actually try my best to look good-wait, you said yes?" I nodded my head and he grinned from ear to ear. The vibe coming off him was cheerful and his smile was contagious. He held his hand out again and said, "I'll pick you up at 7 and we'll go out to eat before. I won't let you down."

By the time I got back to class, the entire school knew that I had said yes about going to prom with Luke Hemmings. It was getting annoying, the looks and stares that I was receiving. The whispers I would hear walking to my next class were getting on my nerves. During lunch, my friends had told me that I had to find another place to sit because they can't be friends with someone who even talks to 'losers like Luke'. So I went and ate in my next class with my teacher.

The day of prom, I was overly excited to show up with Luke by my side. We had been hanging out at school and texting back and forth, he's really funny and goofy. I was wearing a red dress that was short in the front and long in the back with ruffles and black strapped stilettos. I applied a very small amount of make up and decided to go with lose curls that laid perfectly down my back. By the time I was finishing up with getting ready, my mom had called for me. Luke was here. Was it bad that I was nervous? As I was walking down the hallway, I looked up to find a whole different person. This did not look like the Luke Hemmings that asked me to prom.

Luke was standing properly tall with his hands held together with a dozen of roses tangled in them. He had his hair up in a perfect quiff, he had his lip pierced, and no glasses; showing off his beautiful blue eyes. The suit he was wearing fit him perfectly and showed off just how buff he was. I don't know who was more shocked, me or him.

"You look beautiful," he smiled at me just before winking at me. The nasal sound in his voice was gone. It was amazing how well he dressed up and it left my speechless. I blushed, "So do you." We stood there just looking at each other until my mom cleared her throat. Luke had given me a shy smirk, "These are for you." He gave me the roses and before I could do anything else, my mom was forcing us to take pictures.

He took us to a fancy restaurant a few miles out of town and we talked about everything and anything that we could think of. Luke also refused to let me pay for anything, not even the tip. I felt bad but his reasonings were that I had said yes to going to prom with him and threw away popularity just to go. I actually could care less about my popularity level, it's not like I can put that on a job resume or an application for college. That popularity shit won't matter in the real world. I could tell Luke was a little nervous to walk in but I grabbed his hand, wrapping his fingers between mine, and dragged him inside.

The moment everybody saw us they were whispering things like:

Wow, Hemmings actually looks nice.
They look really good together.
Who knew Hemmings could actually look cool.

All the girls were cooing over him, even my ex-friends. How pathetic. One of them had indeed walked up to Luke and asked if he wanted to dance. All eyes were on Luke, the girl, and myself. Luke smiled at her and shook his head, "No thank you. I'm here to dance with my date." He walked away with me right beside him. Everybody was laughing at the girl who just got rejected by the boy she used to pick on.

Luke took me to a spot in the room that not a lot of people were and pressed me close to his body. His arms snaked around my waist while mine wrapped around his neck. "I'm glad you said yes to going with me. I'd be such a loser sitting at home with my family."

I let out a little snort, "I'm glad you asked me to come with you otherwise I'd be a loser as well but I'd be watching sitcoms." Now it was Luke's turn to laugh at me. After a while, we found ourselves leaning in closer until his lips were brushing softly against mine but as I was about to close the gap between our lips, a teacher told us that we had to step further away from each other.

Once the teacher was out of view, Luke muttered under his breath, "Fucking rules," and kissed me passionately.

So, I hope you guys like this one. Santana sent me the picture and I got inspired. I hope it fucks her up in the morning. Hahaha, you know I love you Santana!

But anyways, I'm not responsible for any fucked up Luke girls!
