Chapter thirty three: Insomnia
"Insomniaaaaaa!" I yelled.
"Woo!" Giggled Ellie. "Let's go!" She linked arms with me, and I pulled Freya along too. The three of us skipped along the path together as we headed towards the convention centre. The rest of the squad followed behind us, bantering amongst themselves. Manny was carrying Emily on his shoulders, whilst Tobi and Summer walked beside them, laughing. The rest of the guys were having a heated conversation about FIFA, nothing new there.
"Can't wait to try out Minecraft 1.9," I grinned.
"Imma meet up with some fans so we can be non gamers at a gaming convention together," laughed Freya.
"Emily will be in on that," laughed Ellie, glancing back to look at her. "If she's not too busy with Manny, that is."
"They're low-key Simon and Jordy levels, but not as bad," grinned Freya.
"Whatever that's supposed to mean," I snorted. "You've picked up Josh's terrible slang, Frey."
"She means they're like best friends, but they'd be perfect together," said Ellie.
"See? Ellie gets me!" Stated Freya.
"Whatever," I giggled. "Y'all can stop getting mad at Simon and me now, coz he asked me out two days ago."
"Oh," said Freya. "WAIT WHAT?!"
"FINALLY!" Exclaimed Ellie. "Excuse me while I become a fangirl again and have heart failure over this!"
"Alright, calm down," I giggled, glancing back to see Simon had heard their yells, and was smiling at the ground, laughing quietly to himself. It was cute. I turned back to the girls. "Sorry I didn't tell you before, but Lachlan was there, and I'm not 100% sure he's happy with it."
"Did you tell him?" Asked Ellie.
"Yesterday," I nodded. "He's happier than I expected him to be, but he wasn't exactly overjoyed."
"Screw him," said Frey. "You guys are prefect for each other."
"Simon's perfect," I smiled.
"Aww!" said Ellie. "So cute!"
We all gathered in the lobby of the convention centre, and sorted out who was going where, deciding to meet up at the Sidemen booth at 11am for the meet and greet/signing. Most of the guys were going straight for the new FIFA. Freya and Emily had tweeted out about meeting up with fans somewhere, so they were headed off to that. Tobi, Summer, and Manny planned to wander around and see all the games there were to see. Vik, Lachlan, myself and Ellie were going to find Minecraft 1.9.
"Duel wielding sounds awesome," said Vik, as we walked together.
"I think I'm just gonna get very confused very quickly," said Ellie. We laughed.
"It'll take some getting used to," agreed Lachlan. "Do you play much, Ellie?"
"I play on Mitch's server, the Nexus," she replied. "And Cosmic PVP a bit."
"Oh the Nexus, you mean my server," I grinned.
"Hey, yeah, I've always wanted to ask you that," said Ellie. "Is the server named after you?"
"No," Lachlan smiled. "The Nexus server was a thing before Mitch and Jerome met Jordyn and I. That is our last name, but it's just a coincidence."
"Oh right," nodded Ellie. "You learn something new everyday."
"So who's your favourite Pack Member, Ellie?" I giggled.
"Mitch," she grinned. "Yours?"
"Preston," I laughed.
"No love for us?" Complained Vik, jokingly.
"You two have plenty enough love for each other," I grinned.
Minecraft 1.9 was pretty cool, although there were, of course, a few things I didn't like about it. That was inevitable with any change to what I was used to though, and I looked forward to playing it on my channel. I even caught some sneak previews of it for my vlog, so hopefully my viewers would enjoy that. When we reached the sidemen booth later in the day, most of the others were already there. I ran up behind Simon, and jumped on his back.
"Oh hey Jordy," he grinned.
"Oops," I laughed, noticing he was vlogging. "Hey guys," I waved. I stood back on the floor, and Simon wrapped his arm around me, continuing to talk to his camera.
"So how's the new Minecraft, Jordy?"
"It's great," I grinned. "Check it out on my vlog, YouTube dot com slash JordyNexuS." It had become a joke in the squad that we could plug our channels every day and we still wouldn't plug them as much as JJ and his EP. Simon chuckled.
"See, you lot saying I'm the cause of the Minecraft drought on her channel, you heard the plug here!" By this time we were both laughing, and Simon stopped vlogging. "I'll sleep on wether to cut that or not," he chuckled.
"Good idea," I nodded, trying not to laugh again. "I didn't know you copped it for me not uploading Minecraft." Simon kissed my lips quickly, and smiled.
"They're all looking for a reason, and I was the obvious solution," he said. "I feel bad, occasionally, for laughing at the crazy theories they come up with sometimes. Come on, let's go do this meet-up."
"Should be fun," I nodded, returning his ever-infectious smile. He took my hand, and we walked together to the room where the meet-up was to be held.
A/N: sorry for lack of updates haha. Updates will be a little slower now as I'm on holidays in the middle of Australia at the moment (it's desert, if you didn't know lol) so yeah we travelled 600 km today from home (Perth) so I had the chance to write, but I won't always be able to upload because y'know... Not much internet in the desert haha.
