Chapter eight: Football slash Soccer

I was in a Skype call with Preston, Vik, and my brother Lachlan. We'd recorded a minecraft parkour, so we were just chilling, editing, and eating. I really liked my new gaming setup, especially since I had a lot more room here than I'd had in my old room back home. Being the youngest child, I'd scored the smallest bedroom.

"How's the move been Jord?" Asked Preston. "I know what it's like trying to sort out your new setup and everything, I nearly went crazy when I moved into the offices in Texas."

"It's been pretty hectic," I admitted. "But I think we've pretty much settled in. We kinda decided that Em is the neat freak, Frey is the fashionista, and I am the messy fashion disaster they have to fix."

The boys laughed.

"I don't know," grinned Lachlan. "You seem to be pretty on point with your fashion, for a colourblind person, anyway."

I rolled my eyes at my brother. Lachlan, as a guy, had a much higher chance as far as genetics goes of inheriting the colourblind trait, but somehow I ended up with it, although it's a lot rarer in girls. He liked to rub it in, but he and our mum never understood the struggles me and dad went through on a daily basis. Simple things like matching clothes were ten times harder than usual, but we generally got around it somehow.

"Dude, have you not seen my outfit today," I stated.

I stood up to show them. I had on hot pink leggings, purple ugg boots, which I had originally thought were pink until Frey had told me otherwise, and a red SDMN tee.

"Nah, you're actually not my sister," laughed Lachlan.

"No, you were adopted Lachlan, didn't you know?" I replied immediately, causing Preston and Vik to laugh.

"Ey, repping the squad," grinned Vik, noticing my shirt.

"Vik I practically live in your merch, it's so comfy," I laughed.

"I know, I do too," he grinned. "It's that or the BajanCanadian hoodie."

"At least the Bajan hoodie would match your top," laughed Preston. "I'm bringing out fire nation merch soon, did I tell you guys?"

"No, you didn't," I said. "But that's cool."

"Send us some stuff when it's out, nodded Vik.

"Yeah," I added, "a girl can never have too many hoodies."

At this point, Freya entered my room, phone in hand.

"Hey Frey," I said. "Oh, that rhymed."

"Become a poet," laughed Vik.

"Heyyyy Freyyyyy," mocked Preston, copying my accent.

I started laughing, and Freya looked at  me weirdly, until she noticed my headphones.

"Josh wants you," she stated. "Where's your phone?"

"Dead," I replied shortly, pointing to where it was plugged in, charging.

Freya clicked the home button.

"It's on 90%," she stated. "You've got a million messages too."

I shrugged.

"Guess I just didn't hear it over the headphones." I picked up my phone, and unplugged it. "What does Josh want?"

"Dunno? Something about football?"
