Chapter twenty five: Prank Wars
After we'd finished playing portal, we joined a Skype call with Josh, Vik, Tobi, and Ethan, and we played Monopoly, and Risk Factions. Simon won monopoly, and almost won risk as well, but Josh ended up beating him. Josh and Simon were both very sore losers, and the rest of us enjoyed laughing at the rivalry between the two of them. After we ended the Skype call, Simon spun his chair to face me, and spun my own chair to face him.
"You feeling better?" He asked.
"Heaps better," I smiled. "Thank you, I had fun."
"Me too," he grinned.
"I have lots of energy now," I said. "Feel like kicking a ball around?"
"Practice for Saturday, yeah?" He smiled.
"Which is tomorrow," I stated. "It came up so quickly!"
"Sure, let's go kick the ball," he said, standing up, and pulling me with him. He picked me up, and chucked me over his shoulder, and walked downstairs.
"Simon!" I yelled.
"What's up?" He asked casually, smirking.
"Me!" I complained. "And I don't want to be! Put me down!"
"You're a cheerleader, you should be used to it," he chuckled, placing my feet back on the ground and taking my hand.
"I actually haven't been a flyer since I was about fourteen," I stated. "I was on an eighteen and under team in Australia."
"Oh whatever," he laughed. "There's a ball in the garage, let's grab it and then we can go."

The next month or so flew by very quickly, and everything was going tolerably well. My channel was doing particularly well, and most of my time and effort was put into that. This meant it clashed with soccer a little, but I managed to get to every practice except one. At the time, we had a Minecraft UHC recording planned, and as they were so popular on my channel, I didn't want to miss it. If I needed more content, I vlogged training, and created montages of our drills. My subscribers started to get to know my team members, and liked seeing them on my social media as well. As a team, we made it pretty far into the season, and ended up getting into the semi-final, which was in about a week and a half. We really wanted to make it into the final, and Simon made the suggestion that I invite Ellie and Summer to make football videos with a few of the sidemen, which they'd planned to do, to give us some practice, and have fun at the same time. I did so, and the girls both loved it. They got on with the boys like a house on fire, and Summer and Emily became pretty close friends, as the two were quite similar. Since then, they started to hang out with us all the time, and they became a part of the squad. I was happy, because I liked the two of them very much, and I'd been worried we'd drift apart after the end of the soccer season.

Simon and I were still best friends, and we spent time together every day. We still hadn't kissed, much to the disgust of Josh, who was apparently our biggest fan. The sidemen were going through a prank wars phase, and I'd been inadvertently dragged into it, not that I was complaining, as it was actually good fun. It started when Simon decided to gift wrap JJ's entire bedroom, including his recording set up and bed, with wrapping paper for a video. JJ had been less than impressed, and had retaliated by waking up in the middle of the night and pouring a bucket of ice and water over Simon while he was sleeping. I'd unfortunately fallen asleep beside Simon that night, which was becoming a regular occurrence, so I, of course, got hit with the contents of the bucket too. Simon, who was incredibly salty about that, then employed Josh and myself to do the paint cup prank. We first cling wrapped JJ's floor while he was sleeping, and then filled about 500 disposable cups with red paint, and lined them up in tight neat rows on his floor around his bed. When he woke up, he didn't realise what we'd done, and stepped out of bed into one of the cups. Unfortunately, this broke the cling wrap, so he did end up with a red stain on is floor, but he admitted it was a good prank.
"He went to so much effort," JJ complained to me. "How can I hit back without having to work so hard to do it?"
"You are the laziest person I know," I giggled. "I dunno, maybe put tuna in his food or something?"
"Or something," he nodded, smirking. "Ghost chilli? What's he doing at the moment?"
"I think he's in the kitchen doing something," I said. "We're doing this now, are we?"
"Of course," he giggled, making me smile. JJ's giggles were adorable and infectious.
"Do you still have ghost chilli in the house?" I asked.
"There's some in the fridge from when Harry did that challenge here," he stated. "Let's go downstairs and see what he's up to."
"Okay," I grinned.
