CHAPTER FORTY-THREE

<Terrence’s POV>

Nakakatamad pumasok if kulang ang tulog. I just want to be with her now. Nilabas ko ang phone ko.

Calling… Baby Gwen <3

After ng isang ring, sinagot niya agad. Hahaha. Wala siguro ‘tong ginagawa.

“Terrence…” Sabi niya. My name came out as a sigh.

“Is there a problem?” Nag-aalala kong tanong sa kanya.

“No… nothing. I just… I miss you already.” Sabi niya. And that made me smile. She misses me just like I miss her.

“And I miss you, too, already.” Sabi ko sa kanya. “That’s why I called.”

“Really?” I feel her smile.

“I already want to go home.” Sabi ko sa kanya.

“Oh. Don’t dare skip work because of me!” Sigaw niya sa phone. Grabe naman ‘to. T.T

“Haha. Yes, Ma’am. But be home early.”

“Overtime ako tonight. Will be home a little late. Sorry.” Talaga naman.

“O-kay.”

“Sorry.” Sabi niya. “Love…” Sabi niya. I smile a little.

“I missed that.” Sabi ko sa kanya.

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Hindi kami nagsalita for a moment. But I love the silence. It’s not awkward, it’s comforting.

“Gwen, I need you in my office.” Narinig ko sa kabilang line.

“Oh, yes Miss. I’ll be there in a minute.” Sabi ni Gwen.

“I need to go.” Sabi niya.

“Alright. See you later.” Then she hungs up.

*Knock knock

“Come in.” Seriously, she should learn how to keep things that don’t need to be said.

“Dina, I need to tell you something.” She looks afraid. I think she knows what I’m going to say. Tumango siya.

“You are my secretary and as my secretary, I need your loyalty.”

“Yes.”

“Loyalty involves keeping things from other people. Especially if its work related.” Tumango siya ulit.

“You should know what you tell or not tell her.”

“I’m sorr –”

“There’s no need for that.” Di ko na siya pinatapos. “I’m not mad. I just don’t want her to hear anything about our company that would make her worry or something.” Sabi ko sa kanya.

“Yes, sir.” Sabi niya.

“Okay. So what do I have now?” tanong ko sa kanya.

“It’s about the interview for the ‘It Might Be’ magazine. They just want to make sure if you’re still doing it.”
